Staedtler (2360) - 12mm Thick Coloured Blackboard Chalks - Pack of 12 Assorted Colours

I'm a teacher with over 3 decades in the biz and I'm very fussy about my chalk. I decided to invest and pay more money for the Staedler product and I compared it against a leading European competitor's brand I have been using for some time. The pictures speak for themselves. I summarise my findings below:1. Staedler coloured chalk made in Germany vs 2. the competitor's coloured chalk made in France.3. Both Staedler and the competitor's chalk offer vibrant colours that stand out.4. The Staedler chalk is much wider than the average chalk stick.5. Both the Staedler coloured chalk and the leading competitor's write smoothly on the board.6. The Staedler chalk easily wipes off clean without leaving any ghosting. The leading competitor's chalk failed the test because it left ghosting behind even after I applied additional pressure to rub it off. Waxy/Oily residue in the competitor's chalk? None of that is present in the Staedler coloured chalk.CONCLUSION: The Staedler coloured chalk stick is far superior to other respected European brands and it is well worth the investment if you can afford it. Your chalkboard will appreciate it!

This is excellent quality chalk, worth paying that bit extra for. Soft and easy to use for toddlers, and no hard "rocks" inside.

Package arrived next day, all chalks fully in tact.When first used, the chaos were tricky to write with and very faint.However, once I scribbled with them a bit and removed the smooth, hard outside layer the chalks were much easier to write with and showed more clearly.

Colors are great, they really pop on a blackboard and they appear to be less dusty than most, maybe that's just me though.Great for color coding or just drawing.

Bought these for pavement drawing and they were a big hit. They'd be a little too skinny and delicate for younger ones, but our two (7 and 9) loved them.Suggest getting these when you have a specific chalk-based activity in mind rather than just general scribbling, as they're a bit of the pricey side, but worth it if you want to create pieces of art

Received these a couple of days after ordering, so not bad for delivery. 3 are broken, and they had all slide in the packaging. I have yet to try them, but they feel smooth, and are smaller than I was expecting.Edit: after using them, they are very soft and don't last long, I think they are more suited to a blackboard than outside use.

My girls love these, they work great on the blackboard i painted for them. They wipe of easy too, and they came in one piece! ive ordered so many chalks and they come broken!
