I am a journeyman welder picked this up so I did have to use my expensive Hobart for overhead and under equipment. The good, cost no big deal if you mess it up, the front lens cover is small and cheap. And it works fine. The bad, headband is rough on the brain like a bad hard hat, ok for short time , 8 hours of straight welding and you might wish u were dead. No marks on the shade adjust on the outside if u use grind you got to fiddle with it to get back to where u want. The decal is just a sticker don't see it lasting long. OK looked closer at the dial there are shade numbers there just hard to see... real small and blended in. Highlight them with a paint pen and good to go...lolAll in all it works fine but if your a serious welder drop the $ on a Hobart or jackson....

The helmet works ok and the halo isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be for the price. It does have troubles staying were I set it on the side pins but I think a little super glue will fix that problem. The lenses are very thin and I have the feeling that they will need replacement soon and my work doesn't have lenses that thin so I'll have to pay for that out of pocket. But all in all great for the price and it certainly turns heads. I took a pic of it with my other two helmets from harbour freight and would say its about the same quality. Mind you harbour freight isn't known for that. But over half the price

Works great only took a few minutes to get it dailed in with my welder and it has a grinder setting. Along with the great images this is a very cool and fully functional helmet. Just wish the viewing window was a little bigger.

So I've had my helmet for a few days now, and the 1st thing I noticed the head straps are flimsy, but a few bucks more and you can buy your selfs some good straps for a REALLY nice looking hamlet, now the tint fades in an out bummber. Other than that defect it's a really cool hamlet. I'm looking to buy another shade, cause at the end of the day it's one unique welding helmet I'm happy with the design and that gets my 3stars haha.

didn't think to check for shade adjustment when I bought it. at first it was so bright I had to wear cutting glasses underneath the hood. then something changed and with no glasses I couldn't even see the tip of my rod when welding.

Pretty decent helmet for the price.
