Prelief helps me with Interstitual Cystitis ; 4 further info: Dr. Timithy Hlavinka 210 614 4544 Urologist- San Antonia, Texas
I received your product in good order. Thank you. I was diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis Feb 2014. I was placed on a product called Elmiron which is nearly cost prohibitive as the 30 day supply at my pharmacy was over $ 750.00 / month until Medicare Plan D started assisting somewhat. My Urologist in my town in Deep East Texas did inform me for those of his patients he had a product (over the counter) OTC that might be helpful however it was not your product. I researched that product then started my own research of products for this condition. Through this research I found your product, Prelief. I have had struggles for many years with repeated urinary tract infections and my (Primary Care Physician) PCP, has urged me to see a GYN for assessment. Being as I was not interested in surgery I chose not. Finally it seemed reasonable to seek an opinion from a Urologist for a more through diagnosis. After consultation, and a scheduled Cystoscopy with hydro-dilation of the bladder (900 cc's worth), with fluoroscopy of both ureters, removal of a later-known benign bladder growth on the posterior wall of my bladder wall, the Urologist was able to confirm his suspicion of my diagnosis - Interstitial Cystitis. Sadly it is a condition a person only controls at best since there is no known cure at this time. Your product I take every morning, evening, and when I think of it, during the day with any meals or snacks, or liquids that may contain acids. I have reduced my dose of Elmiron 100 mg cap to one in the morning and one in the evening. I have had several UTI's since being diagnosed. The difficulty is that the symptoms are very similar between IC and UTI's. I can have the sensation I'm in the early stages of an UTI, go to the doctors, they come back saying how clear and negative my urine is so I leave believing it is my IC acting up. The symptoms continue slowly increasing...................and then...........yep you guessed it...........a full blown UTI and total misery on my part to the point of not being able to function. That process has nearly driven me crazy. I learned that a company called Urgent Doc in my town has a policy that whenever someone presents with complaints of UTI's no matter how clear the urine is, nor how negative the dip stick method is, the urine is always sent off for a culture. In my case it has convinced me that all my urines should be sent for culture whomever I see as many culture reports return positive and the report will point out the exact antibiotic/s that is needed to cure the infection. This is the ONLY WAY a doctor can be assured the antibiotic is the appropriate drug of choice for that particular organism. Choosing NOT TO SEND urine out for a culture seems to be a problem with health professionals for some reason therefore my plan is whenever I have any urinary symptom I will always return to Urgent Doc due to their policy on this matter. I do believe your product has given me earnestly sought after relief and I plan on continuing using the product.. It has come to my attention that Dr. Timithy Hlavinka 210 614 4544, an Urologist in the San Antonia, Texas area is well acquainted with IC and has helped many individuals. I plan on sending all my medical records to him for review and then sent up a second opinion face-to-face. I also noticed on his website your product, Prelief, is listed as a product worth using for relief. There are many people who simple cannot afford Elmiron. His website will give further medical information that others reading this lack. You must do your research at reputable places. I have been in health care for over 35 years therefore if what I write here helps even one person my efforts will have been met. Good luck and I hope this has helped someone out there./fmr

If you have tried EVERYTHING for bladder pain and it did not work...at least try this! It worked for me :)
I have been suffering with painful burning and constant going to the bathroom for over 15 years. I read a post about interstitial cystitis and some natural remedies that had helped her, so I thought I would try it...nothing else has helped except for baking soda! I am not sure that interstitial cystitis is what I have until I go for my cystoscopy 8/27/14. However, my cultures have all come back negative and I have taken Uribel, Premerin cream, Macrobid, even Valium inserted into the vjj and the bladder injections, to try and relieve my constant burning. Thinking I had UTI's when in fact, there was no bacteria, so they told me that I did not have a UTI! SO WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME??????? After reading this lady's post ( I can't remember which site, but when I find it, I will post it under my comment), she suggested taking Prelief, Alfalfa and Quercetin Bromelain, if all else had failed. She did not claim to be a doctor, but this is what had worked for her. And I thank her for sharing her information to help others! So, I ordered these three items from Amazon. Got them last Friday, 8/1/14 and took 2 of the Prelief as soon as I received it, because we were going out to dinner for pizza and beer. I knew I would be in pain if I didn't try something...so down with the Prelief. Went to dinner, came home, watched a little tv then went to bed. The next morning....NO BURNING!!!! I had tomato based pizza and Stella Artois beer and NO BURNING...the whole day!!! I almost cried from being so happy and pain free. I have been going to a Urogynecologist for help since April of this year. Nothing she has given me has helped. They called me today to check on me and I told the nurse what I was taking. She wrote it down and was going to let the doctor know what I had taken. She told me to see if it continued to work, if so she would let her patients know about it :)

Works great for my IC
I rarely write a review on a product but felt I needed to for this. I have IC and have had to cut out everything that I enjoy such as chocolate, coffee, tomato sauce, even my glass of wine each night. If I have even a small taste of one of these items, I have a bad flare up so had resorted in cutting it all out of my diet. Then my doctor suggested Prelief. At first, it didn't work. I tried it with coffee one morning and had a flare up. Tried it a week later and same result but once I tried it again, it worked. No flare up. I take three tablets every morning with my coffee and if I have something for dinner with tomatoes or drink that glass of wine, I take a few tablets and haven't had any issues. Prelief is amazing! Try it. If it doesn't work at first, don't give up. It's worth trying

Can help Acid Reflux too!
I don't have the bladder issue that many here do. I have GERD aka Acid Reflux. I've been on Prilosec, Zegerid, or similar daily for a very long time to control it, over 15 years. After reading about the long term effects of taking proton pump inhibitors, I decided to find a way to wean myself off of it. The bottom line to this review is that any one thing alone is unlikely to work. It has to be a combination of things. Having said that, Prelief can be a part of that. And while every one is different, for those suffering from GERD I will tell you what I have done to bring it under natural control. I want to be careful to say I am not dispensing medical advice for anyone else, and that what I did, I did on my own without the advice of a Dr. after hours of careful research. My plan was to use homeopathic and natural remedies that work with your body not against it, along with dietary changes and exercise. First the easy part. I began a moderate exercise program, that involves walking/jogging, or riding a bike near daily for roughly an hour. This brought my weight down, increased my energy, and exercise increases your metabolism and allows your whole digestive processes to work better and faster. Next, while my diet wasn't bad..it wasn't as good as it needed to be. I cut out more (but not all) trigger foods, and just ate a better diet without getting bogged down in detail. Anyone with Acid Reflux knows their list. This is where Prelief comes in. I love, love, love, Italian food. I also like some other acidic items, such as coffee, vinegar based salad dressings, etc. I find that by taking two of these tablets with a meal that has any acidity in it, it decreases the reaction I would normally have. But it's not the end all be all. Maybe it is for those with the bladder condition, but not for those with GERD. This is only one weapon in an arsenal so if you purchase it, remember that. I started taking a good quality enzyme pill and a probiotic. Again, to get the gut flora going which breaks down the food better and more quickly. After being on this general regimen for a month or two, I started to slowly wean myself off the Zegerid. I went from daily to every other day, then one day on and two days off. By early Seaptember I was taking the Zegerid 2-3 times weekly. It was at this point that I took the final leap. I purchased a product called Heartburn Free (available on Amazon) which contains orange peel extract. For whatever reason, taking one of these pills every other day for 20 days somehow trains the "lid" of your stomach to stay closed, and that keeps the acid and other contents from spilling into the esophagus as easily. I just recently finished that regimen and I'm happy to say I have my GERD now under control. Cured? No. Under control? Yes. I haven't taken Zegerid in approx 20 days now. I still get some mild acid indigestion like symptoms here and there, but the episodes are less frequent and much milder generally. They feel more "normal". Most important, I haven't woken up to the feeling of stomach acid rushing into my throat which is an awful feeling and damages the esophagus. I take two Ginger tablets for mild acid indigestion and that usually calms it, and a few times I have taken an OTC acid reducer in the evening to make sure I have no bedtime problems, but compared to where I was a few months ago - it's world's apart. I could not have imagined not taking my daily PPI pill for 20 days. That would have been unthinkable. I will now take Heartburn free when I have a bad episode, and will take the full regimen of Heartburn Free once every 6 months as the box directs. Along with that, I will continue doing everything I mentioned here, and yes Prelief is a part of that. Hope this helps the other Reflux sufferers out there.

Irritated bladder? Here's some help!
I won't go so far as to say that I have Interstitial Cystitis---no diagnosis and my symptoms are not regular, only occasional. But I will say that when I have too much OJ or soda, or the weather is super hot and I don't drink enough water and I get a little dehydrated , that my bladder gets very upset with me. :o) (urgency, burning) Some foods make it even worse (tomato sauces, pizza, vinegar, pickles). Prelief is a sanity saver for the 2-3 days that it takes me to get re-hydrated and the irritation gone. Depending on severity of symptoms and what foods I'm eating that day I take 2 every 6-8 hours for the problem, plus another 1-2 in between those doses if I'm eating something that I know will make the burning worse. I can't say enough good about this product simply for the bladder relief if gives but it is also an excellent alternative to drugs (this product is listed as a Supplement, not a drug) for mild-to-moderate heartburn issues that are caused by some foods. Just take 1-3 with the first bite or two of food you're eating that you know will cause you to have acid indigestion/heartburn and see if it doesn't help. :o) Wonderful price here at Amazon---Thank you All Star Health!! :o) Prelief AKPHARMA PRELIEF I paid just $22 for 300. My local pharmacy can special order it for me (NOBODY carries it on the shelf here! Maye they make more money on the OTC drugs for heartburn???) but the cost is $16 for only 120!

My urologist recommended this for me when I was diagnosed with I
My urologist recommended this for me when I was diagnosed with I.C. I take two tablets before every meal and before a snack. I like that it is safe and natural. I use it in addition to Desert Harvest Aloe Vera (which is phenomenal, by the way) and a couple of prescribed I.C. medications. I am now managing my I.C. and am feeling better every day. I have more good days than bad. I am new to the I.C. world, so I have not strayed much from the recommended I.C. diet yet. The few things I have tried (cooked onion, Pink Lady apple, Ceylon cinnamon, organic raisins) have gone well and I always take two Prelief prior to each new "try me" food. I doubt I will ever go back to eating like I used to and I miss tomato-based foods like crazy (what I wouldn't give for a big slice of pepperoni pizza), but if I ever do eat something that is a bit risky, I feel better knowing I have Prelief to reduce the acid in the foods I eat and the effect will be reduced (or eliminated) on my bladder. I even give it to my daughter now who suffers from GERD (like me). I will not be without this stuff! Can't believe I never heard of it until I was diagnosed with I.C.!

A must for ICS
I have been using this product for several years for my ICS. I use to have to buy it in the USA and would buy several bottles every year when south to bring back. I also had friends pick it up for me. It is a great product for reducing acid in your foods. I use it every day when I drink coffee, coke, tea, and when I eat high acid foods. I also use it when drinking wine. It has worked for me and I would not go without it. I am so happy to see that I now can buy it on Amazon.ca

Decreases the level of acid in your bladder
I have IC so need to alkaline my urine as best I can. Just taking a few Prelief with acidic food or drinks helps me at maintaining neutral or just slightly alkaline urine.

Awesome product!
The product arrived just before my vacation and given my IC diagnosis, I have been able to enjoy some foods I would have stayed away from! Iโve been testing my PH every day and itโs getting better. So far so good. Will be ordering more.
