I got these cables to replace some balance ones that were more expensive and they had frayed (a little) over time. I was pleasantly surprised by the sound quality! I couldn’t distinguish between the drop off between the two.Used with focal headphones. For me, these cables are an adequate timely backup/replacement.

I have used NewFantasia cables in the past for my Sennheiser HD-600, Sennheiser HD-598, KEF Space One, and will be using this for my Focal Celestee which will be arriving either tomorrow or Wednesday. I have yet to receive the cable but with prior experience I know what I will be receiving. The cable that will come with the Celestee is a better cable than other Focal models I have heard but it's still a little bit janky and it's only four feet in length. A perfect length for my particular needs is 6.6 feet such as this one so that it reaches either my Little Dot tube amplifier or my Emotiva DAC while sitting at my desk. It's a very decent cable which comes at a very modest price and I like that fact. I'm not a guy who places much faith in expensive cables equating to highly improved sound quality. To each his/her own in that, I don't hear any difference between these cables and any of the OEM cables so I'm good. I'd recommend them to anybody in need of a different cable.

August 2023 - I've used this on my headphones every day since I've purchased it and it has withstood my yanking and twisting. My concerns on the materials still stand, but the results speak for themselves.Original Review, December 2022 - I got these to replace the cable on my Denon headphones and they seem to work well. As mentioned in another review, I ordered the 3m/9.9' model and received a cable packaged as such but that only measured to about 7'. The quality of the material is a bit on the low side, with the actual cable seeming excessively thin and I don't think it will survive daily abuse.

I've had these Focals for almost three years at this point, and the band and cables both have deteriorated from hard use and extensive listening, with the cable at one point bursting through the seams and not being able to fit back in. These serve as an economical replacement for the high-end over-ear headphones, and even feel better due to its lightweight nature. The sound quality stays great even in spite of it, with only the most rabid of audiophile being able to notice any significant difference. The material feels durable and unless you go at it with a knife or scissors directly they should last long. Would highly recommend purchasing these rather than another headset entirely!

I did a shoot out between this cable, the higher priced New Fantasia silver cable, another 3 meter cable form Meze 20 ish bucks, and a Meze 99 silver cable. This cable and the 3M Meze beat all the silvers. I have 2 different headphones HiFiiMAN HE-4XX and Focal Elegia. Source is Tidal > Audirvana > Shiit EITR > Modi Multibit > Asgard 2 > Headphones. I liked this cable best with the Focals. I liked the 3M Meze best with the HE-4XX.(BTW - I was shocked at how much the bass is lacking in the Focal stock cable. The HE-4XX stock cable isn't very good either, definitely holding it back in bass and details.

My one year old Focal Elegia headphones started having problems with the left earphone and I determined that it was that wire that was on the fritz. No problem, I hated that wire anyways. Started shopping and quickly realized a replacement would in the hundreds and more. So I was quite happy to find this replacement after a bit of research online. Did some comparisons with my original cable and quite frankly, I can't tell the difference. Highly recommend this product, at least as a replacement for the Elegia. Had I known about these before, I probably would have switched them earlier cause that OEM Focal cable is terrible. I will update this review if something changes at anytime.

It is sufficient, but there is a difference in the sound. Someone mentions a slight scratchiness to the sound and I can notice it as well. For $20.00 and for most headphones that would be compatible go for it. Also measured the "3M" cable. Mine only came out to around 7 FT so either the wrong cable was put in the wrong package with the wrong label or they are just not as long as advertised. Bought the 1m and 3m to try them out since the stock cable has the memory of an elephant

Unlike most other cables like this where only the parts that split off and attach to the cans make some amount of noise - every inch of this one will make noise if it rubs against something.NEXT!!!
