Inexpensive.Relatively simple WIRED connection and setup. It takes several attempts to scan wireless networks before any show up using the supplied software to access the settings in the camera. I/R leds have a faint reddish tinge when on. Thankfully, the front green LED can be turned off.How much would it cost to have an english speaking person proofread before publishing ? It seems the more technical things get, the more ambiguous the documentation gets. Also it would be nice to have the MAC addresseS (yes two)printed on the bottom or listed where one can acess it once connected.I use MAC address filtering on my router to make my network more secure. This has to be off temporarily to simplify finding the WIFI MAC address.Luckily, my router lists the MAC and IP adresses of wireless candidates.I started with the direct connect to router in order to set the WIFI.Eventually, I was able to ping the default IP address wirelessly. But alas, no video. I set the camera back to default and it reverted to slightly different settings than it shipped with. Default was DHCP enabled and port 80.It arrived set for fixed IP 192.168.1.216 port 81. After more twiddling, and moving closer to the router, I have video using 192.168.1.216 and port 80.I eventually hope to connect from the outside world (internet) to this thing and after that, link it to my Synology NAS. Wish me luck.---------------Update (a few days later)Diddled with DDNS, port forwarding, registering my ip address and other minutae. Now I can see the video feed remotely (internet vs intranet). Also added the camera to a Synology NAS with Surveillance Station software but haven't been able to get to the NAS remotely. To disable the IR leds that are soldered drirectly to the PCB,Void the warranty by adding a parallel resistor across the photo resistorMaybe 10k or so. The photo resistor reads about 80k ohm dark and 15k ohm or less when light. Requires basic electronics and soldering skills.

Great camera, once I got it working.
The setup instructions leave a lot to be desired. Out of frustration, I kept giving up, then trying again days later. EasyN support was there and did try to help. They looked at screen shots of settings that they requested me to send them. Their reply was that all of the settings were correct, that camera should be working. In the end, they were absolutely correct. I could access and control the camera from within my household wifi network but could not do so from the internet. I finally found the problem involved my VOIP telephone adapter. I had the output of my cable modem connected to the input of the VOIP adapter, the VOIP output then went to my wireless router. All of the above connections refer to the Ethernet cables. I had the port forwarding settings correctly set in the router, however, the VOIP adapter was not passing the port access requests through. I changed the hookup as follows: cable modem output directly to router input, VOIP adapter input moved to empty ethernet output on router, VOIP adapter output not used. BINGO!, full internet access to camera achieved. My particular issue cannot be blamed on the camera or EasyN.The camera has a very good picture, even in low light, thanks to it's IR led ring. The camera also responded very well to movement commands. Preset positions can be set and accessed. Other features are available and work okay. I would buy this camera again if I had it to do over. The VOIP/telephone also functions as before.

Not for the faint of heart
I went through quite a few steps trying to get this camera to function correctly and ended up not being able to at the very end. Here's a list of the issues I ran into.1. The manual describes a management software program that is supposed to be installed from the provided cd. The program did not exist on the cd so after emailing the seller I received a link to be able to download the program and the download worked.2. The manual stated I would have a registration code either on the cd itself or at the end of the manual for the management software program. Wasn't in either location so another email to the seller got me a response with a registration code.3. Wireless connection would not work and I am quite familiar with getting devices connected to my wireless network. After trying many things I realized that the MAC address supplied by the camera was not the same for both the lan connection and the wireless connection. Since I have my wireless locked down to only allowing the MAC addresses that I specify this was a significant issue and the seller was unable to provide me details on how to determine the actual wireless MAC address of the camera.4. Returned the camera and am currently waiting for a refund. As far as the camera functionality (when connected to the lan) it had a decent picture and a substantial range of motion. If I was planning on having this as an internal camera connected to the network I would have been willing to keep it for that function once I received all the software necessary to run it properly.
