Make sure you test it first before installing it. Just connect the 2 high voltage wires to 12V, and the 2 ground lines to ground. Make sure it does everything.Note there is no way to mute the speakers on the unit and maintain the audio out signal (for example if you want to plug into a headphone network for long trips when mom and dad want to keep their sanity). In this case you will need to disconnect the speakers on the unit - you can just cut the wires going to the speakers (you will have to pop the unit open and just cut them with scissors) if you want to do that. I actually soldered a slide switch (uxcell 10 Pcs SS22F25-G5 2 Position DPDT 2P2T Panel Mount Mini Slide Switch Solder) inside the unit to connect and disconnect the internal speakers for this purpose. I found that when using the car's speaker system I like using those internal speakers too because it works like a center channel. Of course, you could avoid the need to cut those wires by buying the wireless headphones instead (it has a wireless broadcast mode), which I didn't test.

Installed this DVD player professionally just before a long road trip. While the audio had to be turned up all the way up and had an slight clicking that was particularly noticeable during more quiet portions of the movie, we were hopeful it would meet our needs. However, a couple hours into our drive and it became clear was a PIECE OF JUNK this DVD player is. It would skip and freeze for a really long time. It would all of a sudden start playing again half way into the movie as if it were playing the whole time, might play fine for a while, and then eventually start skipping again. This would happen consistently with brand new DVDs that had never been played before. Then, on about day 2 or 3 of use it would struggle to eject the DVD. We tried buying and using one of those DVD lens cleaning disks but that didn't help. We also tried buying an external USB DVD player but that didn't work. This DVD player was a nightmare and made our long road trips with the kids more stressful and annoying than not having it.

Worst DVD player ever! Freezes, stops, turns off. My kids can not watch a complete movie with out this dvd freezing . It makes very loud noises like it’s about fall apart. I regret buying this tv. And wish I could get my money back.

We purchased this item to replace one we had for 2 years but quit working. We were very happy. The screen is smaller than our old one but the picture is better and the kids could see it better. The problem is that 10 DAYS after it was installed, it stopped working. Blue screen and says No Signal. The DVD will not eject. We did a return for a replacement tv. I understand that electronics can be hit or miss. We installed the replacement and after 2 days of minor use, the SAME thing happened. This is NOT worth over $200. The seller should remove this product until they figure this out. I see there are many similar reviews.

This doesnt even deserve 1 star....I bought this and had it installed for our family vacation of 17 hr car ride with lots of children. Worked for 3 days and now screen is blue and cannot eject the DVD and we leave for vaca in 3 days. I am beyond upset about this

Only worked for a couple days than the screen went blue and wouldnt eject the dvd. Very upset with the quality
