The New-England Primer [1777 Facsimile]: Improved for the More Easy Attaining the True Reading of English Paperback – February 16, 2014

Ordered this "version" in order to get the original version bigger. While the book itself is bigger than original style, the copied pages are still the same small size as the original, with LOTS of blank space around the print. I returned this one and will be ordering the original style.

This is a great book. We were doing a unit study on David Crockett and of course it talked about the primers they used for school. This wasn't the first time that it's came up in a study so i decided to order this so that the children would understand exactly what it was. They often pick up and look through it.

The content is great, but the print is small and the pictures are really blurred and hard to see. Somewhat disappointed. I will probably buy a more expensive version.

This is the way school was taught back then. You also learned the Bible at the same time.Great idea!

A little hard to read with the 18th Century Spellings but certainly worth studying to return students to founding principals
