I received this as a gag gift when I retired, but the joke’s on them. I absolutely love it and will give them as retirement gifts. It’s good quality, easy to read and looks great in my bedroom.

This is exactly what my elderly mother needed and it's perfect for her needs. It's easy to use, looks great and more importantly is extremely simple with no extras on it like numbers, hands, buttons, etc. It does one thing: It shows her what day it is for her to take her meds. That's it. It's all she needs and it's very easy for her to understand. I highly recommend this day clock.

Dayclocks or Amazon should change the picture they use to sell this product. I did read other customer reviews and two big complaints were: 1/ Wednesday and Thursday are upside down, 2/ there is a large company logo (Dayclocks.com) on the dial (clockface). The Wednesday and Thursday complaint are not an issue for me as I've read about studies which claim the brain is excercised when it has to make adjustments (like read something upside down) but, I did agree the logo was obnoxious. I planned on ordering the logo free dial after presentation of the gift. The item arrived and lo and behold, the company must have read the customer comments. The two days are oriented to right side up and the logo is significantly smaller and discreetly placed above Sunday. My friend loved the clock and ironically had asked that very morning, what day it was. I said, "it's your birtday!" To which he replied, "I know that but, is it Tuesday or Wednesday?" Later in the day, before the birthday cake, there was a knock at the door and the postal carrier delivered the package. I gave the present as it was delivered and the birthday celebrant was very pleased. I was worried he might be offended and asked him if he was offended - maybe, even, a little bit - and he vigorously assured me he was not. He was truely delighted and knew exactly where he would hang the clock and he told me he felt like he was going to have more control over his life. Sometimes it is a seemingly small thing which can empower us a great deal. He is very glad he will have a resource to, "know what day it is."

Hi ... I love this clock ... Yes, I'm retired and sometimes I lose track of the day ... With this clock that problem is gone ... You will not have to worry about changing this clock for daylight savings time too! Monday is always Monday, Tuesday is always Tuesday, etc. ... I have gotten four of them (3 mahogany and 1 oak) ... One for me and 3 for friends who are now retired ... The quality of the craftmanship is unbelieveable for the price and it is not only functional, but it is also a wonderful conversation piece ... OK ... The truth is that you don't hafta be retired to get one of these clocks ... In today's busy world we all sometimes forget what day it is and this clock is there to remind us ... The clock is large enuff so you don't hafta squint looking at a calendar (besides, if you forgot to check off a day you might still be lost) or checking your wrist watch to find the day ... I am very happy with the clock and so are the friends who got one from me ... If you're getting one for a friend just be sure to find out which wood they would prefer (mahogany or oak) ... Purchased this clock for my retired parents as a bit of a "gag" gift for their shared birthday. Some previous reviews mentioned the face of the clock having a large logo on it but hte one we received did not. The wood surround appears to be high quality, or at least what I would expect for the price. Additionally, the packaging was very sturdy. Considering it was purchased for some rather elderly recipients it was almost too sturdy. You should expect to need a flat head screw driver to remove the clock from the cardboard backing. It was easy to hang, runs as expected. Takes some fiddling to ensure it is set properly. I would suggest setting it at exactly noon one day to make sure you're not off by a few hours. My parents love it. Can't ask for more than that.

In just the two and a half months of my retirement, my newfound lack of adherence to schedules has caused me to occasionally lose track of what day of the week it is. This mahogany Day of Week clock has solved my problem. I hung it just below my beautiful old school Roman Numeral clock, where I can't miss it. My only nit-pick about the clock, pointed out by other reviewers, is the domed lens which causes reflected glare regardless of viewing angle. The glare is evident on both photos, but seems especially obvious when compared to the roman numeral clock, which has a flat pane of glass. If this Day of Week clock had flat glass, I'd give it the full 5 stars.

I bought this for my friend who is always asking what day it is. It was the more expensive one but I wanted something that could be hung anywhere and not look cheesy. The wood made it a classy choice and it's really a nice quality. Great gift for a friend or yourself, especially if you're a retiree.

We bought this as a gift for my father in law when we moved him to assisted living. It helped him keep track of days because days have a tendency to run together when one is retired. It looks just like a regular wall clock, is very quiet and accurate.

The clock has a vintage aged look to it, and has a quality appearance. It easily adjusted and keeps accurate time , as much as you can tell. I get compliments on it and it actually does come in handy some times if I remember to look at it.

I bought this clock for my mom, who has some dementia and never knows what day it is. Not only is it helping her, but she describes it as a "really nice piece" and has hung it in a prominent place in her home. This clock exceeded my expectations.

I paid £42.99 for a clock advertized with a 'solid mahogony frame'. It had a cheap mahogony-effect plastic frame instead. Not happy. I expected to have a good quality wooden framed clock, not cheap plastic, for the price I paid. What a rip-off.

For me being retired one of the hardest things to remember sometimes is what day of the week it is !!! This lock keeps perfect 24 hr. times to accurately display what day it is !! Love it.
