Excellent lancing device for painless finger pricks
The lancing device that came with my glucose meter (OneTouch Verio IQ) was painful to use, and would occasionally fail to create a finger prick that produced enough blood for the test strip to work correctly. So occasionally I had to finger prick myself two times. You also had to pull out the lancet from the device using your fingers (risking yet another prick). After many years of use, it eventually broke and so I had to purchase a new one. After much research I decided to go with the Auvon lancing device. I have my Auvon lancing device set to 3 (it has ten possible positions), and it is much less painful than the OneTouch lancing device. The manufacturer claims that the lancing device results in less pain because it jabs your finger straight with less sideways vibrations. I also think that the 30 gauge lancets are better than the ones that the OneTouch meter used. The lancets themselves are ejected by sliding a lever forward, and not by pulling it by hand. The Auvon lancing device is also much more reliable, and every finger prick produces enough blood for the test strip to work correctly. So double finger pricks are a thing of the past for me. The lancing device is armed by pulling the rear knob back, this works quite smoothly every time. The trigger button is brilliantly designed. It is a clear plastic button that is blank when the lancing device is not armed, and then turns red when the lancing device is armed and ready to go. In total, this device is much more nicer to use than the OneTouch lancing device. I believe that it's a worthy upgrade to the basic lancing device that comes with most glucose meters.

Easy and Effective for testing blood glucose
These work great! It is great to be able to adjust the depth of the lancets. I find these much more effective than what I eas previously using. Highly recommend.

Literally Painless in most uses.
I just got this. I take my blood 5 times a day and had always used the included lancet with contour and similar devices but the yare all the same. The problem with other lances is two things.. the vibration can cause them to sometimes wiggle, and they are fast but still slow enough you can feel the prick. This makes all others inconsistent and variable pain. sometimes you would barely feel them, and other times they would feel like insect sting.. The AUVON is different because it address the two things that normally cause pain.. Vibration, and Speed.. The Vuvon is guided and has little very vibration so no wiggle, an secondly it's a MUCH faster prick that is so quick your brain doesn't register the actual prick. (Very cool!). The result is you literaly don't feel the prick. or even really pain. you might feel a little bit of the after effect but it's MUCH less intense than that sharp stab you would normally feel..

It pushes the used needle without touching.
I bought this lancing device because my old one was dangerous when I take the used needle out form the device. Yes, it has a slide on the side and pushes the used needle out easily. It fits my previous device needle. It doesn't make a huge noise when the needle is lancing. I used to miss my finger because of the noise. One thing I don't like about this device, I have to twist on/off the tip of the device for the needle on/off. The tip is also has the twist control of the needle depth. So, when I try to don/doff the needle, I have to make sure the needle depth. Otherwise, it is useful and reasonable price.

Super Gentle Lancing Device
I bought this lancing pen for my diabetic cat. I wanted something that was gentle and after I had tried the lancing device that came with his glucometer - it hurt. So he needed something gentle. This lancing device is AMAZING! I tried it on 1 on some tender flesh of my finger. Barely felt anything and it didn't hurt. I got a nice droplet of blood as well. So this lets me know it will work perfectly for my diabetic furbaby and be gentle on him enough to test his ear or paw pad and not traumatize him. I did have a little bit of a difficult time straight out of the box, the instructions were saying to unscrew the end piece and even the 'how to' video stated that. It took a lot of strength to get it unscrewing. So, IF yours doesn't seem to want to unscrew, don't give up. Give it some more strength, that thing will come undone. Watching the video lets you see what direction it unscrews as well- that helped me a lot.

Easy to use
It takes the square based lancets of every brand. I did find one brand that had particularly large square-bottomed lancets that didn't want to fit as easily, but even they work in this device. If you stick to the ones with the normal(smaller) sized base, it works best. This is lower cost than many others & works great. I have to set mine on 5 usually, as my fingers don't like to give up any fluid😒😆 I reset it after using, so it is ready for immediate use when I need to get my next reading.
