PAIN FREE AGAIN!!!
I typically don't leave reviews but my experience with these shoes are nothing short of a miracle! My suffering goes back to last November when I ended up hurting my heel. I was told it was plantar fasciitis. I tried everything from massages to stretches to braces/foot bands and nothing worked. I ended up compensating for how I would step on that foot because the pain was unbearable. It hurt to stand, it hurt to take a step. I walked like I was 100 years old. 1 excruciating painful step at a time - it was truly awful.I saw a friend sporting these new shoes she had just purchased and I said it looks so cushiony and bouncy. She said that they were like walking on a cloud and that she had just purchased them because she's on her feet all day at work and at the end of the day she would always have horrible foot pain so she decided to buy these shoes. She mentioned that her feet no longer felt tired and that she no longer has any foot pain so I looked up the company and reviewed their shoes and knew I had to try them. What's the worst that could happen that hadn't happened already with other products that didn't work, right? This was going to be a "big" purchase as I typically don't spend $155 on a pair of sneakers and especially if they didn't hold up to their claims but I was desperate for some relief. I measured my feet so that I would hopefully get the perfect fit. I measured 10.5 inches from heel to the longest part of my toe (measured standing). A chart online said if your foot was 10.5" then you should order a women's size 11. I also have wide feet but my friend does not yet she ordered the wide for added comfort and said they weren't too big but perfectly roomy which lead me to think that I should order the extra wide since she would normally be a regular width. So 11 X-Wide it was. First, these shoes arrived faster than the quoted delivery time frame. I ordered on Monday and had them on Wednesday (I was quoted at least a week)! Anyway, there it was. Like opening this golden box that was going to fix all of my problems (well at least foot related problems). I opened them up and found 2 sets of inserts. After carefully reading what each one was for, I opted for the high arch correction (I never thought I had an arch issue but it was the thickest most cushiony one so I went for it!). I figured if it were too uncomfortable, I could always swap back.Next morning, the big day to try them for the entire day. I put them on and went to work and boy was there a spring in my step...more like a bounce! They felt great! Now, for the heel pain, at first around the arch area it felt a little painful but this was nothing like the heel pain. this pain actually felt pleasant. It was the kind of pain that felt like a deep tissue massage or pressure point massage. It felt good because somehow it felt like that pain meant that the shoe was doing something to help correct the problem...or at least I hoped! Anyway, I didn't give it too much thought. I noticed there was this "good" pain but better yet, I noticed that there wasn't the bad pain! Before wearing these shoes, any time I'd go from a seated position to having to stand up, or from waking up from sleep and taking that first step, there was so much pain that I would have to compensate or hop just to get a few steps in before I could muster up the courage to step on that foot.Okay, so the entire work day went great. I had no problem going from seated to standing, wasn't compensating too much but still wasn't sure I could fully put my entire weight on that heel so I was still a bit careful. I went home kicked off the shoes and put on my regular slippers and noticed there wasn't so much pain. I thought surely after I wear some other shoe that my heel pain would be there but it really wasn't...yet. When I went to bed, I did some foot stretches like I had done every night to try and correct the problem. This time when I stretched there was no pain except for when I stretched sideways towards the arch. That was the only stretching position that hurt. All the other stretches were pain free! I kept stretching through the pain a few times then went to bed.Now comes the miracle! I didn't need to go to work the next day so I didn't really want to put on the sneakers just to wear around in the house (and in this hot weather) but if I had horrible heel pain, I was ready to do it. I put on my everyday slippers and carefully proceed to step and nothing. so I took another step and nothing, and then a few more and nothing! I had no pain!! The heel pain was gone!! Well...it was 90% gone to be fair but when you've had that kind of pain for 8 months straight and now only having 10% pain was like a miracle! The entire day kept getting better and better. I certainly thought that within a few hours that I would be pushing my luck and would need to put on these sneakers but the pain never came back and in fact the 10% was slowly decreasing too.Today is the second day of wearing my slippers and I can honestly say that I no longer am compensating my weight on that foot or how I walk, I no longer have the pain (only what feels like residual discomfort but I'd have to really pay attention to even notice that), I can go from seated to standing without even giving it a second thought and without crying like a baby. I don't know what else to say other than THANK YOU to the person who designed these shoes and to Gravity Defyer for giving me my comfort back!! I 100% recommend these shoes to anyone suffering from heel pain. In fact, my sister has the same problem but she has had it for 2 years now and I just ordered her a pair for her birthday! She can't believe that I no longer have pain. It was so miserable before and now I'm me again!! I will definitely wear these shoes to work as they are super comfortable and it overall feels like it's doing something good for your feet!

Awesome Athletic Shoes!
In December I started the Conqueror Challenges and needed some really good and supportive athletic shoes. I have issues with Plantar Fasciitis, and need arch support. These shoes are perfect for that, and so much so, that I have 2 pairs of this brand of shoes, but different colors. These shoes are a modified rocker so they take a little getting used to if you are used to ordinary non-rocker shoes. These are true to size as well. These shoes are a reasonable price and a big selling point for me was that they send 3 different orthotics insert sets with them AND a return shipping label because there is a satisfaction guaranteed on them!

Great So Far
First off, I regret that I didn’t go with the sites suggested size for me. It said 7.5 and I didn’t trust it and ordered 7. I was wrong and the site was correct. After wearing the correct size for a week or so to work, the sneakers are very good. I stand and walk at my job 6-8 hours, on concrete floors (covered with linoleum, but I know what is under there). I now have bunions and need wide width shoes. So, a pair of sneakers has to address the bunions and the comfort I need from all day on the concrete floor. At night, my legs would cramp if I wore the wrong sneakers. I decided to stop trying to buy the right sneakers for a low price, it became a marathon of returns and money refunds. I had seen a Gravity Defyer sneakers before, but didn’t want to spend the money. Well, so far they have been comfortable (with my own orthotics) and my legs feel so much better at night. I hope these don’t wear out on me in six months like other sneakers have, but I’ll have to spend the extra money for the pain relief this brand has given me. Stop penny pinching like I did and buy what you need the first time.

Okay, but not Hoka Bondi
I decided to buy these when I read the customer reviews that favorably compared them to Hoka shoes. Perhaps they are similar to some Hoka models, but they are nothing like the Hoka Bondi, which is one of the most cushioned shoes I have found. I have neuropathy and arthritis, so my feet have a lot of pain and are sensitive to all stimuli (rough socks, heat, cold, etc.). The Gravity Defy shoes felt rough, hard, and the seams caused pain. I have very high arches; even with my orthotic insoles, my knees and back ached after wearing the Gravity Defy shoes for a few hours, despite following directions by wearing them the allotted time and increasing wear time. The shoes seemed fine, like normal tennis shoes, but they are definitely not for me. I usually need a Size 10 to accommodate inserts and swelling. I ordered a Size 11 in these, but the toe box still felt tight.

Not a miracle, but ...
These shoes are not a cure-all, but they do help quite a bit with the pain I have. Arthritis in my right foot and pain all the way up right leg, low back, hip, knee, neuropathy. Normally the burning starts as soon as I put on any kind of shoe. I can wear these with a lot less pain that, say, Skechers, etc. I'd love to see more sandals and how about some slippers to wear around the house with the same kind of support/comfort! I work from home, so it would be nice to have something to slip on and not have to wear shoes and socks all day.Give these a try! If they don't help, you can always return them.

Great walking shoes
I hadn't exercised in many years and had put on a lot of weight. When I had my annual checkup my doctor told me I was pre-diabetic and might need medication. I decided to get healthy on my own and started walking every day. My feet and legs would ache a lot after my daily walks, so I decided to get some good walking shoes. I found these, and I'm glad I did. They are great. It took me a couple of days to get used to them, but my feet and legs don't hurt at all after my walks now. I am very impressed, and I'm going to get another pair.

Eliminated leg & knee pain
These are not the most beautiful shoes! However, I’ve been having knee & leg pain when walking long distances, several days in a row while traveling. I heard the ads for these shoes and gave them a try. I just finished a trip to Northern Ireland where I walked 3 to 5 miles a day. I was so happy to be pain free!!

AMAZING!!! … but buy size up!
AMAZING!!For a healthy gait, toes need to have space to spread during movement and hence wide toe boxes in shoes are a must! Most shoes and surprisingly sneakers or walking boots don’t come with wide enough toes boxes and hence these trainers are great!I’m not a trainer/sneakers person, but accepted that ordinary fashion shoes don’t offer what these trainers here offer, hence willing to be converted to a sneakers wearer ☺️A foot is designed a bit like a tripod for your skeleton, with foot bones ‘fan-ed outwards’, arched and of course accompanied by muscles, to best support gait & balance. And shoes should reflect what nature created. What I like about this design, is that in addition to the expected internal design features, they offer a wide toe box. They also took existing pain into account, not just added an arch or deep heel section for the sake of selling ‘healthy shoes’ but their arch is a realistic height that doesn’t stretch your sole muscles when painful, plus added the roll effect which lifts your heel up instead of sinking it into the sole, in aid to adjust your gate to how it should be for a speedy recovery, etc, etc… They also added the cushioning, which feels like walking on a cloud. A lot of technology and thought went into this.Because when one is in pain due to some damage on the foot, one doesn’t just need an arch or heel section stretching the very muscles that hurt already, but instead needs technology to adjust one’s gait and cushioning the soar areas on a damaged foot, in support of one’s physio treatments one receives simultaneously 👍In case you need to know for what type of injury I required these shoes for:one foot has planter fasciitis plus an inflamed achilles. The reviews are good, so I went for it.And yes, as advised in those reviews, you need to order a size up, as it’s an American product with American sizes.I’m a U.K. size 4-wide and ordered a U.K. 5-wide, which is perfect. You also receive some inserts to put in, if your fit is slightly too loose.I agree with the reviews that their colour choices are a bit wacky and limited to what type of clothing you could wear with them. I didn’t buy these sneakers for running dressed in Lycra sports wear, but instead for my daily chores, like food shopping, work, etc, therefore they need to go with my trousers & dresses and that’s the challenge here. No plain black, plain navy, plain grey, plain brown, plain any colour really, etc.My dresses won’t go with it, but who cares when one wants to recover. I take that into account 🙂I bought the black with the pink/lilac accent colour, but will survive it 😃I highly recommend these shoes for the recovering period, but don’t forget to work on your feet with physio.

I wish i knew this
Federal Trade Commission Sues Gravity Defyer and its Owner for Violating FTC Order and Making Baseless Pain-Relief Claims to Market FootwearDefendants Targeted Older Americans Suffering from Arthritis, Joint Pain, and Other Medical ConditionsAfter reading amazing reviews about the shoes I ordered them as I too have issues with my left foot. There was no problem in size. But the day I wore and walked in them, the next day there was pain in my foot and swelling. I am in this condition for the past 6 days. Applying ice and resting my foot. The doctor has advised a scan. I am so disappointed at the money i spent on these shoes and sadly I would never be able use them again. Such a waste of money.

The shoes are too narrow
Well made, nice choice of arch supports, but shoes are too narrow.

Amazing
Honestly the most comfortable shoes I have worn ! Forgiving, comfortable, supportive, and make walking pain free which has been a long time coming for me.I have had problems with plantar fascitiis which has healed but I am still careful, and have a tendency to sore achilles and random ankle pain, so I really need a shoe with good heel support and a forgiving walking experience.I have always gone for Skechers and they’ve been ok, but these are on another level to be honest. The other bonus is that because of the removable insoles they will take my custom-made orthotics (as will my Merrell Moab walking shoes) which Skechers won’t, and they also come with two pairs of interchangable insoles and an insole to improve the fit if you need it.I have already ordered another pair !The only downside is that the variety of colours is quite limited in some sizes, and this brand is hard to find outside of Amazon unless you want to pay shipping charges from the US, but frankly I am not bothered about colour because my feet love them !
