Original Hydropower Bluetooth 4.0 Shower Speaker Waterproof - No Recharging Required

Very easy to install and works as advertised. The speaker can play very loud if desired. There is a very small wining noise, but it isn't noticeable once the speaker is playing. Love this speaker so far!

I was looking for a Bluetooth speaker for the shower and came across this product and thought, that looks a little gimmicky, but I know how I am, and know that if I get a regular Bluetooth speaker for the shower, I'll always forget to charge it and wind up never using it, so I thought I'd look into this more. After reading several reviews across multiple sites, I thought I'd go ahead and give it a try. When I pulled it out of the box, I immediately noticed that the body seams are misaligned, and it's completely covered in swirl marks that make it look like it was CNC machined from a solid piece of plastic. I also noticed that it was a bit bigger than I would have thought. Installation was very easy, and within seconds of turning on the water, my phone discovered it, and a few more seconds later, I was playing music. The speaker is only 3W, but the sound quality is decent, with no feedback or tinniness.I rated 4 stars instead of 5 only because the build quality looks like it was made in someone's shed, and it's so big that it moves my shower head away from the wall and towards the floor a solid 5", other than that I have no complaints.

Sound quality good, but generator is noisy if water volume is high. Plastic plumbing fitting snapped off and entire unit smacked my head. Online support non-existent, made it past the return date.

This product is amazing and overall an innovator of its kind. The only thing that is unfortunate is that after a month it takes a while to turn on. It takes longer for it to turn on then it takes for my water to get warm. I have to essentially wait like 5-10 mins for this thing to get going. At first it was working like a charm. Waiting for version two - looking forward to a more compact design and more reliability on it turning on. Other wise volume and sound quality is perfect.

The device is fine, does what it says on the box. It's pretty loud, but you get used to it.The real problem is that the Bluetooth implementation is pretty bad. If you want to put the device into pairing mode if you buy a new phone, you have to go find _all_ of the other devices you've paired with it and go into the settings menu and forget the device. There are no buttons on the Hyquadio to do this!Next, once you've got all your devices set up, when you turn your shower on and connect your device, it will work. Until...you get in the shower and your music is interrupted because other devices in range are also trying to connect and will hijack your audio. There's no way to control this aside from running around shutting off Bluetooth on every other device you have ever paired with this. This is annoying enough for me and one other person using this, I can't imagine it in a family of four or more dealing with it.Bottom line - if you are ONE person using this with ONE device, it works great. Otherwise it's a huge pain.

The media could not be loaded. I was browsing for a water-proof speaker because I do my best karaoke in the shower, and my phone just wasn’t cutting it anymore. I’ve purchased the ones that suction cup to the wall in the past, but my biggest issue with those is I forget to charge it frequently and it ends up sitting under my bathroom sink uncharged and never used. This speaker was super easy to install and turns on immediately when you turn on the shower and connects to your phone immediately as well. No charging and no need to mess with your phone to connect to it, which is convenient for you everyday over-sleeper like me. Also the volume and sound quality is better and louder than most shower speakers I’ve used in the past. Overall an amazing buy. The pricing may be a little steeper than the other ones on here, but the quality and convenience of it is worth the extra $10.

I bought this like an irresponsible American because it appealed to me on that "wow, that's a good idea, why didn't I think of that" consumer side (I also bought a Flow Hive for the same reason). Unlike the magic beehive, this did not require me to get bees or, in fact, do anything. I screwed it in, turned on the water, and was genuinely surprised that the sound was pretty good. I honestly didn't buy because I wanted to listen to music in the shower, but I am converted. In college, a friend ate oatmeal in the shower, and lately I also realized a cold beer ups my shower game, but this might change everything. My plans include, but are not limited to, using shower music to charm or confuse my wife into a romatic interlude and also to learn Russian. JUST PUT A PILLOW ON THE SHOWER FLOOR so if you drop it during install, you won't break it. Also, if you leave the pillow on the floor accidentally, you'll have an excuse for the wife when you are pre-prepped for a shower floor encouter with a pad for someone's knees while jamming out to your favorite tunes.
