Smith & Nephew Secura 2% Miconazole Nitrate Cream Antifungal 3-1/4 oz. Tube

Update: I've been using Secura for almost 7 years now. It's still as effective as ever! I am particularly susceptible to skin yeast infections, and Secura cured one of the worst ones where everything else failed! OTC creams, lotions, powders, sprays, I tried it all. Prescription creams, even steroid combinations, nothing worked until I tried Secura. And it worked FAST. I would recommend it to anyone, it's that good! * When I recieved my product, I was, shall we say, underwhelmed. The cap was not safety sealed, but instead closed with a piece of scotch tape. It also is 2% miconazole, which is basically every other $5 OTC cream you can buy at the grocery store and that I had already tried without success. I did not have high hopes. (I'm so glad I tried it anyway!) * The secret to this stuff's effectiveness is its incredible thickness, and thus incredible moisture barrier properties. It's THICK. Like putty, or clay. This makes it a little difficult to apply to broken skin, as it tends to pull. However it covers skin magnificently and soothingly. Nothing is getting through that barrier after it is on! It's even kind of hard to wash off your hands with soap after applying. Your skin WILL stay protected and medicated. * After weeks and weeks of no relief even from prescriptions or steroids, I saw an improvement after the very first application of Secura, and it cleared my awful infection completely within 3 days. For real. This stuff is amazing. Use it anywhere yeast is a problem in moisture-prone areas. Don't be put off by the ghetto packaging. It's a fantastic skin protectant!

This product does a nice job. It is sticky but with gloves it's great.

This is an amazing product. I found out about it when I was working in the hospital. It works great for “under boob” rash or any rash under skin folds from sweating and also great for athletes foot. I swear it will clear it up really fast, If you clean and dry before application.You will be thankful and amazed at the results!! The service from the vendor was also great. I got it in one day.

This is a 3.25 ounce tube of Secura Anti-Fungal. This particular tube is "extra thick," which I'll admit I inadvertently hadn't read the label well. My physical therapist had recommended this to me to address some fungal issues. I do find this works very well, however, it's definitely extra thick. It applies heavily and doesn't immerse as easily as the regular Secura anti-fungal product. This is a skin cream for issues like jock itch, ring worm, and athlete's foot. I've been using it for a jock itch type issue due to some leakage involving my ostomy. It applies easily and helps protect the groin area from exposure to leaked urine. This contains zinc oxide, karaya, Vitamin E, and helps soothe my skin when irritated and protect it from getting more irritated. Because it's thick, it really stays in place and doesn't easily wash away. I've found it great for especially troublesome agitation. While I would easily use this again, I do prefer the less thick as I find it easier to work with overall. However, for those times when there's severe agitation this extra thick cream is absolutely amazing.

I have a son with special needs and this cream has worked wonderfully for him. It’s all I purchase now. Thank you, Amazon, for carrying this brand.

Purchased this instead of my usual brand because it was cheaper. It seems to do the job, but the smell isn't great and there's a gritty feel to it when applying. It's not excessively funky, but just smells medicinal. My usual brand has no smell and no gritty feel.

My initial review gave this 2 stars, based on the greasiness and grittiness and odor of the ointment. This treatment worked on stubborn athlete’s foot fungus I’d had for years. Changing review from 2 to 5 stars. This is a legit review.
