Great tank. Provides a plentiful supply of drinking water,
APEC is first class. The tank arrived in pristine mcondition, secured within two sturdy (and useful) boxes.Pay heed that you will need to order an adapter directly from APEC depending on how you are connecting to this tank. The part I needed was quickly identified by contacting their tech support staff and arrived in two days. The tank is a huge upgrade to my GE system and delivers RO water with no difficulty through 100' of line and up one story. I have not reached the bottom of it yet! I also have not noticed any particular new tank taste although I flushed the entire system extensively by removing the filters prior to putting it into service.APEC sales support is great and the same engineer personally and patiently answered all of my questions over multiple days and emails. I would not hesitate to buy water products from these folks in the future.

Working perfectly, and lots of RO Water
I bought the entry level RO system, on the recommendation of a friend. It worked well but seemed to run out just when you need it most. So, I upgraded it to this tank, and no more issues! Plenty of RO water for cooking, dog dishes, and everything else you want clean water for! I also spliced the RO system into my IceMaker, so we have clean fresh ice, as well!

Good system, but pay attention to the fitting sizes.
I purchased the kit along with The APEC TANK-14 14 Gallon tank, the APEC Water Systems 3/8" Output Quicker Dispense Upgrade Kit, and (eventually) the APEC Water Systems Tank Ball Valve (3/4" NPTF, 1/4" Output). My purpose was to upgrade my existing system, the APEC Water Systems RO-90 Ultimate Series which I purchased in 2020.Overall I recommend the system, but I did have a couple issues, one my fault, and one Amazon's.So first the issue that was my fault. I originally purchased just the tank and the upgrade kit. I didn't look close enough at the specs and didn't realize that the 14 Gallon tank has a 3/4" male NPT fitting where the smaller tanks have a 1/4" male fitting. The upgrade kit comes with a new valve with a 3/8" tube outlet (as opposed to the 1/4" tube outlet on the standard filter set) but a 1/4" female fitting to mount to the tank. As a result, you can't use the valve with the 14 gallon tank. I couldn't find a version of the kit that comes with 1/4" fitting to 3/4" fitting adapter. I had to purchase the valve for the tank separately to get the adapter, but it comes with a 1/4" tube outlet. I then took the valve off the adapter and used the valve from the upgrade kit to work with my tank. Very confusing, but bottom line is it would be nice if APEC offered a 3/8" upgrade kit that worked with the 14 gallon tank without having to buy other parts. The second issue, which is Amazon/APECs fault - the upgrade kit was supposed to come with a 3/8" to 1/4" tube adapter. This is needed to adapt to the 1/4" tube interface on the faucet. Instead it came with a 1/4" to 1/4" union. So I had to go to Lowe's and buy the adapter. One other note, the tank came with a dent in the corner. Not sure who's fault that is, but it does not seem to affect performance so I am living with it rather that navigate the return process. However, despite these issues, I'm pretty happy with the system. I was worried that stepping the tube diameter down to 1/4" at the faucet would impact the flow rate, but it seems to have little effect. The flow is good and I have plenty of volume. I'd recommend the system, just be make sure you have all the parts and be prepared to make a trip to the hardware store if needed.

A fine addition to your RO system.
Installation was simple. I will say that, going into projects like this, I always assume I'm going to have to pick up a fitting or 2 to make it work. It's simply not feasible for a manufacturer to include EVERY potential fitting for EVERY potential setup. When I added this 14 gallon tank, at the same time I converted my RO-90 to the RO-HI with the 3/8" upgrade kit. So for my installation, I had to get a 3/4" NPT (garden hose fitting, essentially) to 1/2" adapter (brass), a 1/2" to 1/4" NPT nylon adapter, and a 1/4 to 1/4 male to male to fit the 3/8" tank ball valve that came with my 3/8" upgrade kit. My old 4 gallon stock tank is fed from a T fitting running off the 3/8" line between the 14 gallon tank and the final carbon filter, using the original 1/4" line and using a 3/8 to 1/4" pex reducer. This way I didn't lose the 4 gallon tank storage which is now added to the 14 for 18 total (12-13 realistically).System performance is fantastic, and now I never run my tank dry filling up my spaghetti noodle boiling pot! Worth every penny.

Extra storage
Tank arrived with a small dent, doesn't affect the usage. I added this to an under sink type system that comes with its own 2 gallon tank, but needed more water capacity. Added a "tee" fitting between the two tanks and boom, extra water! I didn't have any taste or odor from the tank, so that's a bonus. Functions perfectly for its purpose. I'm using it "upside down" in the provided stand with no ill effects, mainly because the fitting required to add my push to fit tubing would be a little close if it were on the bottom. If you were replacing another tank with this one, you'd have zero issues installing it in a pre-assembled system.

Wasted my money
Adds a Terrible chemical taste to the water. No matter how many times i flush the tank. The taste remains. 1 sip makes my stomach upset. contacted customer service and their advice was to add a carbon filter after the tank. So the water before the tank is filtered and tastes great and now i should filter what your tank is adding to the water. Waste of $120.
