It's Judge Dredd. It's Volume seven. If you have 1-6 there's not much point in reading reviews.

Werewolves, Serial Killers, and Pies!
This is a slightly different set of stories fr the famous Judge. There aren't any major arcs, but this does help to flesh out the world of Mega City One after the insanely deadly Apocalypse War.There are some awesome stories here! "The Graveyard Shift" is an amazing story arc that takes you through a rough night in Mega City One. There's also a great bit about a competitive eating contest.Short stories are really the name of the game, and there are a lot of great ones! There's a good one where Dredd interrogates a prisoner, another about moving citizens, and one about an illegal Bingo league. My favorite is the story about the pies, but you're going to have to just trust me on that one. This is still Judge Dredd going around taking names and dishing out justice, and there are some awesome stories here! I consider it a must-have if you love Dredd, and if you're just getting into Dredd, it could be one of the best ways to get into the series. It doesn't have anything that relies too heavily on knowing the series inside and out, and its just a fun read!

Great collection, every time I finish one I pick up the next ASAP. I missed out on Judge Dredd as a kid so it's fun reading it from the beginning. It's a shame the US reprints are taking so long to release. I've had to order the next few books from the UK.

Not quite as Good as Previous Collections
Covering Progs 322-375 this collection puts together the ongoing adventures of Judge Dredd from the pages of 2000AD during 1983/1984. Nothing stunning happens in this collection, no epic events but it still contains some good hours of reading. The most notable highlight is the introduction of Judge Anderson, and yet she only appears in one of several psi-cases. Approximately the first half of the collection contains multi-part issues with serious stories and great cases though as mentioned this volume does contain a number of psi-cases (those involving the paranormal). Then the quality goes down a little and the second half of the book contains one shot episodes or 2-3 parters at most. Some of these move onto the more campy and silly and we get a cross-section of stories that were hit and miss for me. I don't mind and actually enjoy some of the campiness, so that's not a major issue with me, but too much in a row gets a bit much. I do prefer the serious stories. The second half of the book did have one long psi-adventure that I really enjoyed. Overall, I always enjoy a dose of Dredd, this just wasn't as good as previous collections. However, I'm loving reading Dredd in order, seeing things/people appear for the first time and watching Joe's character develop into the one he's become today.

Over all its a good book but kindle need a better optimization process for these books. the occasional clipping of word bobbles and misplacement of cells out of order can be annoying but the material is great and just what you would expect.

A change of key but still firing on all cylinders
Volume 7 of the Complete Case files continues to see Mega City One rebuilding in the wake of the Apocalypse War and although having no ‘Mega Epic’ it is still the series firing on all cylinders. Indeed looking back when you see some of what is to come in later volumes the nostalgic pangs for this era, when stories were less influenced by whatever was contemporary in a desperate pursuit of ephemeral ‘relevance’ become quite overwhelming , particularly for readers, like me, in their 40s who were still kids when these stories were first published! The largest story is ‘The Graveyard Shift’ which fits in references to previous stories but does so in a way that usually seems seamless. It also introduces the concept of ‘The Sleep Machine’ which enable judges to work 23 hours per day. It’s an excellent piece, often overlooked when ‘classic stories’ are being considered, but the volume as a whole features a number of excellent pieces.’Cry of the Werewolf’ returns Dredd to the Undercity. ‘Requiem for a Heavyweight’ features the ‘illegal eating concepts which follow on from the ‘League of fatties’ story in Volume 6. ‘Bob and Carol and Ted and Ringo’ brings dinosaurs into Mega City One and harkens back to the ‘Cursed Earth’ in Volume 2. A number of the standalone single episodes stories are also memorable - ‘The Suspect’ and ‘’Bob’s Law’ stand out in particular, and it would be remiss not to mention ‘Portrait of a politician’ where Mega City One gets its most famous mayor.. overall the quality is near uniformly excellent with no duff stories at all and only two or three at the 5/6 out of 10 level. In short, the series continues to hit it out of the park. Art from Carlos Ezquerra, Steve Dillon and Ron Smith is great and the writing consistently excellent. Indispensable and another clear 5 star effort

Another classic collection!
What can you say about this series of books other than if you are a fan of 2000AD and fancy revisiting a few old memories than these are must have buys. I actually stopped reading 2000AD at about the same period covered in this volume (girls and beer ate into my spare cash to much), but I can assure you based on the quality of this volume I will almost certainly be getting all the following volumes. This volume has lots of one and two part adventures rather than epic stories but that does not mean that it is in anyway inferior to previous volumes.

Great value for money
At this stage in the Complete Case Files customers are still getting great value for money.352 pages of Dredd goodness with most of the stories of the shorter variety. The writing and artwork is of a very high standard. There are some great stories in here such as "Cry Of The Werewolf", "Requiem For A Heavyweight", "Suspect" (a great example of a superb one chapter story), and "The Haunting of Sector House 9".Crammed packed with werewolves, dinosaurs, fatties and chaps with huge noses. What's not to like?
