Quite dark so doesn't let the light through very well. Is like a garden gazing ball that reflects things around it which is sometimes neat but I wanted something that would be more transparent and glow in the sun.

Your amber finish flaked off my ball. WTF is that? It's supposed to be pure amber crystal quartz. Wanted a wooden stand, not a peace of glass.

Absolutely adore this ball. It was my first crystal ball, perfectly clear but a nice dark amber hue. Nice weight to it if you're inclined as I am to play with it rather than allowing it to sit.
