Whisper-Silent Cooling for a Hot-Headed Xeon
If you’re looking for a cooler that actually tames Xeons without sounding like a jet engine, this is it. My Dell Precision T5820’s stock cooler had my W-2135 cooking itself at 90c under full load, but this Noctua dropped it to under 70c with barely a whisper. It looks fantastic inside the case, fits perfectly, and feels like it’s built to last. Installation takes a bit of patience, but once it’s on, you’re set. What was good: The build quality is classic Noctua, with materials that feel premium and fans that are as quiet as promised. Performance-wise, it’s night and day compared to the stock cooler. Idle temps hover around 35c, and even at full tilt the CPU stays comfortably under 70c. The cooler looks surprisingly nice too, especially paired with the green PCB in the Dell chassis. One of the best parts is that it’s one of the only third-party coolers that actually fits the Precision T5820 without clearance issues, which makes it a rare gem for this system. What wasn’t: Installation was a bit fiddly, and it took me a couple of tries to line up the screws just right. It’s not the kind of thing you’d want to do often, but thankfully you only ever need to install it once. The only other nitpick is cable management, getting the fan cable routed so it both looks neat and avoids the fan blades takes some trial and error. Beyond that, no complaints. Recap: This cooler is exactly what I needed for a workstation that runs hot but needs to stay quiet. It’s solid, silent, and effective. If you have a Dell Precision T5820 or another Square ILM socket system and want to upgrade from the stock cooler, this one’s a no-brainer.

Superbly Designed and Quiet Cooler!
I'd normally for liquid cooling in a server build, but this was a unique situation where I had an older Supermicro motherboard with dual E5-2698v3 Xeons (LGA 2011-3) in a small (non-server) case, and I needed something that would keep it cool but not sound like a jet engine. Installation was flawless. Swapping in the narrow ILM guides was a breeze. The included hex tool for locking down the standoffs even has an indentation to allow tightening from an angle. I'm amazed at how quiet these four fans (two per cooler) are and how well they cool in the same case. It's at the high end of what one would pay for a non-liquid cooler, but this is worth every penny.

Great Ventilation mod!
Perfect fit in my Dell Precision 5820! Great fan mod for better ventilation and CPU cooling. I also added 2 additional fans on the back of the case for better heat removal.

Impressive temps, easy to install, first-rate product on narrow ILM
Using this on an X9 SuperMicro LGA-2011 board which requires a narrow ILM. As can be seen from the photos, (before I re-attached the fans) it clears my DIMMs just fine. This fits in a 4U case with room to spare. In the case, idle temps on my Xeon E5-2667 are 28 C. Under full load it reaches 61 C. Outside the case I did see idle temps dip to 26 C. The kit comes with the fans, a Y-cable for connecting both fans to a single header, assorted mounting arms for the different socket configurations, a hex tool for tightening the screws to the socket, two inline low-noise adapters for the fans and an instruction pamphlet. I used the Y-cable but ended up not using the low-noise adapters because this thing was already pretty quiet without them. It also came with a syringe of Noctua NT-H1 thermal compound. Instructions were easy to follow. Swapping the mounting arms for my narrow LGA-2011 took just a few minutes. I loved that I had the option to mount the cooler either as shown in the photos, or rotated 90 degrees. Fans are easily removed and replaced via a tensioned wire that keeps them attached to the fins.

Silent but chilly
Does what I would expect from a Noctua product. Gives great performace for many cooling scenarios and does it silently.

Very good product! Just make sure you have clearance for both fans
Couldn’t fit with both fans on because of the RAM clearance but generally a good product, it keeps the processor at 40C and 60C to 80C underload, it is very easy to install, you only have to tighten 4 screws and thats it, it its a good product to buy

It was a gift but I'd still buy one!
I have a Dell Inspiron T3600 that I've been upgrading piece by piece since I got it. It now has the best CPU and GPU it can handle. Some day I'll spend a couple grand on a new gaming PC but for now, mine is good enough. I stream on Twitch and one of my viewers got this for me because I mentioned I'd been having trouble keeping my temps down. This paired with some new front fans and an extra exhaust fan work wonders on my current setup. I can play games like Valheim and Shatterline on max settings and my temps don't get higher than 65C. Easy to install. Had to clip the springs a little but there are tutorial videos on YT for that if you happen. To have the same computer I have. Although it was a gift, I'd definitely still pay for one. I planned to, but someone beat me to it!
