High Quality, no problems.
This product was great quality. Matched my older model. Installed easily with no problems with it's operation or function. I have tried other products which I had to return. Noisy fans, one of the leads to short. This product is the best of all I have tried.

Gets the Job Done at a reasonable price
This power supply is great. It may not be as awesome as other modular power supplies but it has an ample amount of power to get almost any system up and running. I've used this power supply in two system builds and it works like a champ. In one PC I can power up a gtx 760, 1 SSHD, 1 Hue+ led lighting system, 3 corsair led 120mm fans+3 Phanteks 140mm fans, 1 Intel Haswell Pentium CPU, and 8gb of ddr3 crucial sport ram (not sure if there's anything else to power up but that's the jist of it). Of course you won't be able to get SLI or Crossfire configurations set up with this power supply (if you think so, probably go find a different power supply because this isn't the one for you). But powering up your budget to mid-range computer builds will be sufficient with this choice to power supply. When it comes to cable management, it can be somewhat of a test of your creativity with how you organize the cables. This is neither a fully modular or semi-modular power supply (meaning the cable are permanently fixed to the power supply and are not detachable. Google/Youtube it if you still are confused by modularity). Some cases will be great to house this power supply, as some cases are excellent for stashing away those gaudy cables (they're not bad the cables, it just looks cool if you can keep your cables hidden in your PC). In one case I had, the cables were everywhere but in some newer, more pricier cases I now own, the cables from the power supply are about 96% tucked away from view. The unit itself is not huge at all. The power supply does have a fan. So in some cases you could position your PSU so that it faces downwards into a dust filter that many cases provide, or you can opt to point it upwards so that airflow travels in a different direction (this is assuming you place your power supply in the basement/bottom of your case). All in all, I don't have much else to report on this power supply, other than to say, if you're debating on trying to save some money in your system build (or maybe even in need of a new power supply) this is a marvelous choice, and I definitely give this a 5 stars. And pleaaaase don't say this item does not work or came defective and put a 1 star review. Just request a refund from Amazon and ship it back for FREE to the manufacturer and go buy another power supply or go with a different brand.

Fits In HP 570 Pavilion Cases, Quiet, and Works Great
I have an HP 750-p064, and I needed a "uATX" or mini-ATX power supply to power a graphics card. I was pleased to find that this EVGA 500-watt power supply has the exact specs of the stock 180-watt HP power supply. It's much more than I needed, but the prices are negligible and this PSU has great feedback. The screw holes will line up at the top of the 570 case, but I had to install the power supply with the fan facing up -- it's not ideal but that's all I could do. There is a little rubber spacer on the underside of the case which still allows some airflow, so it's not a problem as it doesn't get that hot for what I'm doing. And although the power supply fits, an external metal bracket covers just a couple millimeters of the input plug. It's not creating any damage, but I really can't remove the plug now without unscrewing the power supply and moving it to the left. During the installation, there was very little room in the case to move everything around and route all the covered cables (which are very thick). Then at the final step, I discovered that I needed a special "6-pin SATA" connector for the HP 570's slimline DVD drive; this EVGA 500-watt PSU only has 15-pin SATA connectors. Well, thankfully Amazon sells this nifty "6-pin to 15-pin SATA adapter": https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0056OA8ZW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 You'll definitely need this if you are installing this EVGA PSU in the same computer I have. Besides a few annoying things about the installation and not having a 6-pin cable, this power supply worked on the first try and I've had no issues. It also stays relatively cool and keeps whisper quiet running in my small PC case. It was the first time I ever upgraded a power supply, and most of my issues were the result of my inexperience and buying a small form factor PC meant for business use. That's why I still give the EVGA 100-W1-0500-KR five stars.

OK But Quality Control Issues Are Troubling
I've had some bad luck with my Dell XPS 8700 and I mean bad. It's on its third motherboard, second hard drive, and 2nd PSU. After the second motherboard died, I started suspecting the Dell PSU so I tried this as a cheap and well speced PSU to replace it. I've LOVED my EVGA graphics cards and their customer service was top notch so what the heck. Well, first one came and there was a sort of ticking, but not quite ticking, sound. Sort of an oscillating sound. After a few hours research and watching videos on Youtube, I tracked it down to a likely bearing issue. Not good for a 2 day old supply. Amazon was AWESOME and took care of the shipping label and sent me a new one. So far at least, no sound at all from the new one, though it had another minor issue. The first fit very easily in my case. This one took several minutes of almost forcing in and even after it clicked in place as it should, the screw hole on one side is slightly off. It still screws in, so it works, but definitely not quite right. Time will tell, but thus far I'm not overly impressed with the quality control so I have some worry it will die prematurely. As to actual operation, it seems good enough. No issues yet with my system the past few hours and it feels heavy and solid. The cords are plentiful and sleeved, but almost too long. Good to have ones for the video card and a couple of the motherboard ones that power the CPU, but I found it hard to find places for all of them. Maybe next time I'll go moduler.

I was looking for a cheap PSU from a reputable brand to complete a build with some left over spare parts from a recent upgrade. Although there are cheaper 500W PSUs out there they are from uncommon brand names and most of them have terrible reviews and reliability - the phrase 'buy cheap buy twice' comes to mind! EVGA PSUs seem to be really good quality and their aftercare support is second to none. The 3 year warranty on this model also offers some extra piece of mind too. The PSU is well built and is finished in black. The cables are not modular but they are sleeved in black nylon which slightly disguises the renowned cable colours of red, orange and yellow ;) They were long enough for a Fractal Design XL case which is fairly large although you might struggle with anything larger. It does have the standard 8 pin CPU cable but does not include the additional 4 pin CPU cable for higher TDP CPUs. You should probably be looking at a better PSU if you need that connection on your motherboard. This PSU was easily able to handle a constant 400W to the computer for several hours when the CPU, GPU and fans were all under full load during a stability stress test. Although rated for 500W you really don't want to be running it too close to that, it is a limit after all, and not a target! I would not recommend using this PSU for dual graphics cards especially as there is also only 1x PCI-E cable with a 6 pin and 6+2 pin plug. It's also fairly silent in operation which is always a bonus. Great PSU for the money and very happy with it. Highly recommended

It comes with a US outlet despite being sold on AU Amazon, other than that it does work very well (had to get an adapter). I had no issues with the product and I will be coming back for the next PC I build. (Probably higher voltage ⚡)
