Stays thick and gets hair up quick
bottom line the stuff works. I don’t know what the other brands have that say it’s either malt free or petroleum free or whatever.. but when your cats have hairballs cuz they groom alot or they have long hair you need to give them this stuff every week ! and in a couple days, up comes the furry intruder! the other brands also seem to get runny but this stays thick. I just take a small glob of it and rub it on the top of my cats paw . they have no choice other than to lick it off to get rid of it - :)

Pickiest cat likes it
My picky cat actually started liking this after awhile! I'm so glad to find something that works that she likes the taste. Unfortunately my other cat hates it, but she is okay with the many other brands of hairball remedy I've tried. Cats, am I right?

Last resort amazing solution!
Wow this works like a charm! My one cat has been throwing up one and off for a month at a time on a daily basis. The vet did blood work and detected nothing. After he continued vomiting nearly every day and I changed to expensive prescription food, I tried this and now he has stopped throwing up after a week of using! I’m so thrilled!

Works well for my cats
My cats get occasional hairballs & constipation. This product has helped them. I don't know if they like it because they don't exactly take it willingly, however, it's helped my one cat who often gets stomach upsets from constipation & hairballs. I usually get the remedy prescribed by the vet, but Covid has limited my trips to their office. Decided to try this and it works just fine. As for the taste? Seriously, they asked me to rate it? Please! You'll have to take that up with my cats.

This is not fish flavor. My cat wont touch it.
I opened it and smelled it. Molasses ? I knew right away my cat would not touch this, and of course he didn't. I tried hand feeding him, and leaving some on a plate where he is fed. No luck. My wife tried dabbing it on his mouth, he wouldn't try it (I had to finally wipe it off) I'm glad a lot of people have luck with this. For me a waste of money, I'll need to find something else. How hard is it to actually make a product that smells like fish? Add some fish oil? He would eat that.

The cats like it
The fish flavor Petromalt seems to be a bit pricier than the malt flavor, but one of my two "girls" was iffy on the malt (sometimes sniffed it and walked away). After three little dollops of the fish flavor, I think she's good with it. My other girl likes both the malt and the fish. :)

5 out of 5
It doesn't smell bad, but none of my 5 cats will touch either the original or the fish flaor. Tried 2 other brands before this, same kitty review...nope!

I WAS SHOCKED
My kitty would never lick any other hairball paste. She didn't hesitate to lick this one. I couldn't believe it. She's long haired and has trouble sometimes getting rid of her hairballs. She grooms a lot and the hairballs are big. Hope this helps with that. I was going to try putting it on her paw if she didn't like it from my finger, but glad I didn't have to do that.
