One of the best shirts for transitioning from FAT to FIT! Read details to get you to wearing this almost-perfect shirt.
PROS:- Well-made for the price, with decent stitching and a nice double-ply fabric that breathes as well as can be expected for a poly blend.- Sleeves are a nice length, not showing more arm than you want, especially if you've lost weight and want to hide the "bat wings" without resorting to long sleeves.- The tall sizes are great for 5'11" or taller, but might be too short beyond 6'4". Buy one size larger than your typical, since the fabric might feel snug even though it doesn't cling (it may feel as if it is).- The black-and-white color pattern (dark is main color, white is accent) is the way to go if you're a fat guy in training, or have some padding to hide while at the gym; any of the colors that have dark as the main are "very becoming" according to many who have seen it worn; the bring colors with dark accents on the shoulders are to be avoided unless you want the reverse effect.- Sweat doesn't show very much or at all in the black version, so it's very nice for those who want to avoid the "hey, don't I sweat like a rhino with malaria" appearance.-Other than the neck and color problems (below), this is a perfect shirt for getting into shape, or continuing your journey from Lard Lad into Muscle Man.Cons:- The neck is far too tight, likely because of the elastic in the stitching that pulls on your carotid until you're seeing stars and hearing fictional woodland mammals chattering in your ears. I had to yank my shirt's neck open to purposely break some of the elastic-- I hope the designers fix that one flaw in this otherwise perfect shirt.- The manufacturer needs to offer more color combos with dark colors as the main shirt, and light or white on the shoulders. As stated above, the ones with dark accent shoulder patterns and a lighter main shirt color reverse the striking appearance into more of an obese pyramid effect.

Size is misleading but it's a refreshing change!
I have been looking for some gym clothes for the longest time and when I read the reviews on these shirts - that they were large - I was very interested. Normally for one of hte Uther brAnds I take a 3X and it's a bit small on me. I can't seem to find anything larger than 3X available in stores so I turned to Amazon to see what I could find, and when I read the reviews on these shirts - that they ran large- I was very interested.Russell Athletic is not a brand that I consider a "premium" brand and I usually prefer to buy from the other manufacturers. I already feel like a misfit in a gym (I'm 6' and 300#) so anything I can do to blend in is usually what I prefer. I was also concerned about the quality of these shirts, and most importantly their fit.The reviews are correct. I ordered a 3X and a 4X expecting they might run small like the other brands "loose fit" shirts and was told by my spouse that the 3X is too big. The construction is very good. The material is a bit thicker than some of the other brands which I prefer because it helps smooth out some of the contours of my body. It wicks sweat very well, washes up very nice and did not shrink in the dryer. I placed an order for a 2X and another 3X just to compare the fit and will report my results after they arrive and I've had a chance to use them and wash them.I feel very comfortable in the gym in these shirts, they look nice, and I feel like their designs fit well and the fashion is on par for gym attire. They're nice looking and seem to help my body shape look a bit more athletic and a little smoother. They're nice shirts!

A favorite for me
Have bought these before and was happy to find the quality and fit hasn't changed. A favorite work out shirt for me.

Great Quality Shirt
Good quality fabric- not flimsy or thin like some other shirts I’ve ordered. It fits as expected. Happy enough that I ordered a second one in a different color, and will order more of they become available.

Too Big? I'll Take It!
At 6'4" and 275lbs, I generally wear 3xl long. I ordered a 4xl long because as any "big" athlete should be aware of in the current climate of cheapness by clothing companies, the larger sizes dont always 'wear' their stated size(see my review of a 3xl Dickies Work Shirt). One reviewer lamented that his shirt was larger than the stated size. I pray for that problem every time I buy clothing, especially athletic, nowadays.Dri-Fit or Dri-Power material is all the rage in todays athletic apparel. I whole-heartedly support its use. Far more durable than cotton, the lifetime of this shirt, barring tears, should be excellent. My only complaint, and the reason for 4 stars versus 5, is the thinness of the material.

Great Shirt
These shirts are awesome. They run a bit big and hang low, but that's a personal preference of mine. Depending on the shirt maker, I wear between a 2xl-4xl. I started with a 4xl and the shirt was a bit baggy and hung to almost my knees (I'm 6'/325#). I liked the fit. I then ordered a 3xl for shiggles and enjoyed that fit much better. The only complaint is the first one I purchased for $12.99 and the second was about$22.09 plus there are not many colors to choose from. Working in a prison with no air conditioning, these shirts make the day a little more comfortable.

Insanely comfortable and durable.
I have three of these, and wore them for 9 months living on the Appalachian Trail while writing for a hiking website. Held up well to the smell of hiking for several days without a shower or laundry, and didn't have any tears or holes. (well, one hole but that was because I got too close to an open flame, can't blame the shirt for that) Really comfortable and a great price. Highly recommend.

Good Shirt
Fit is good and I like that the neck opening is not to big. I am a bigger guy (bought the 3xl) and a lot of times, manufacturers make the neck opening huge on 3x shirts. This shirt has a smaller neck and fits comfortably.Didn't give it 5 stars as I just bought it and have only worn it twice. We will see how it holds up.
