Use in the same way as the plastic drywall anchors. Strong and secure. Very easy to use.
Hollow core doors are notorious for being difficult to anchor fixtures onto.Butterfly hooks work, but the holes you need to drill in order to push the butterfly anchors through, are always so huge.I've used these types of anchors in drywall before, but did not realize they also specifically make them for hollow core doors. The only difference I see is that drywall anchors are plastic, and these are some sort of alloy metal. If you've used these types of anchors in drywall before, these are used in the exact same way.Drill a pilot hole first, then screw these anchors in.One note, if you've used these in drywall, you know that all you need is a small pilot hole. The drywall is soft enough, and the plastic drywall anchors are strong enough, that they will drill themselves through the drywall and enlarge the hole as they are screwed in.When using these in a hollow core door though, the wood of the door is too strong for a small pilot hole to be enlarged just by this anchor. You'll need to drill a pilot hole that is roughly the size of the middle width of the anchor. The widest last 1/8th of an inch of the anchor will embed itself in as it enlarges the pilot hole.Per anchor, these are much more expensive than similar type drywall anchors. I don't know if the plastic drywall anchors would work in hollow core doors, but my thinking is that the plastic would break being embedded in even the thin wood skin of the door.Super strong and easy to use. Very well worth it.

These work great!
Anchored spice racks to hollow panel doors. Easy to install and holds them all. I highly recommend!

It took some time but they work.
On a painted white door, to limit the chipping of paint, I drilled holes of about the size of the width of the middle of each anchor. As I put in an anchor, the painted surface around the hole would bulge out. I used a sharp knife to trim that down as I slowly put an anchor in. This allowed the anchor to be flush with the door with a minimum of damage to the paint. Also, some of the anchors had bits of metal stuck to several of their threads which stopped them from being screwed flush. I found different anchors in the package that had more smooth threads which fixed the problem. Finally, the provided screws seemed too long for a hollow door. That was not a problem since the clothes hooks I was installing had shorter screws which fit the door better.

Even a non-butch can install a mirror on a hollow-core door with these!
I’ve had a full length mirror sitting around for at least a year, 16” wide x 60” tall x 1/8” thick. It had been leaning against a wall all this time, because I didn’t think I’d have what it takes to mount it on the back of a closet door. But now several months into lockdown, I thought to myself, if I don’t try now, I never will. Or I’ll have to pay somebody to do it, even though it would really be a less-than-minor job for a pro. Then Youtube came to my rescue, where I learned about these wonderful anchors — also the trick of clearing away the ‘shredded’ stuff before tightening these anchors all the way in.And though it was nevertheless a nerve-wrecking process (only because I was so afraid of messing up), I managed to hang the mirror without any trouble. To say that I’m pretty proud of myself would truly be an understatement. Even my family (to whom I sent a couple of photos of the finished ‘job’) gave me the thumbs up as well as hearty congratulations 😃What’s more, I’ve now got the bug, and am even looking for other projects around the house for which I can use the remaining 19 anchors from the same pack 🤣In short, if you’re at all apprehensive about mounting anything on a hollow door or wall, look no further coz the solution is right here!

Worked for me!
Worked for me on a hollow door. It appears that the screw is much too long for the anchor, but nowhere does it explain that the 1.25-inch screw punctures right through the bottom of the 1-inch metal anchor as shown in the photo I provide here.

As easy as a screw!
I'm the opposite of handy so I was iffy on these things. They look bizarre! I was attaching a full door spice rack on a hollow door and wanted it steady. Marked the hole with an ice pick, put these in that tiny hole and started screwing. I used my drill, and bang, done. Put 6 of these into the door and the screws snugged right in. These things dug in as quick and easy as a dry wall screw and they are tight on that little bit of wood they're in.

Door anchors
Work very well in the hollow doors.

Perfect for hollow core wood doors.
These were a vast improvement over the plastic wall anchors that they replaced to hold a towel rack to my hollow core wood bathroom door. Much sturdier. We will see how the hold up over time. The former plastic wall anchors were coming loose. I don’t think these will.
