The best one I’ve tried for sure ...
Update 4/20/2022The original vixen horn lasted around six months and then died. I returned it to them under warranty at my expense ($12) and they sent me another. It too lasted about six months and then died. It’s now out of warranty and not Replaceable. Two failures in just over a year. Originally sounded good, but apparently not built to last. I don’t think I’ll buy another Vixen.Original ReviewAdded this horn to a 2008 Tacoma. I tried Harbor Freight and Wolo ahooga horns previous. Both were poor in my opinion. My expectations weren’t high when I decided to try the Vixen. But it surprised me how much better the Vixen sounded. The others didn’t give the “...gah” drop at the end. This one does. It’s not quite a true Model T sound, but clearly much closer and much, much better than the others I’ve tried. Recommended!

Died after 2 months.
Sounds good, easy install (though no directions included), BUT -- died after only 2 months! I hear it kind of cranking but no sound.

Better than imagined
What is there that I can say about your product. I can say well made and LOUD. The person I ordered it for was so surprised it was exactly what he wanted and then some. The ease of install was great. The chrome was flawless. Probably didn't take but 20 mins to install. 10/10 on everything

Your somewhat generic modern day klaxon horn.
Loud, definitely attention getting, and capable of startling the crap out of your average cell phone focused pedestrian stepping off the curb with no awareness of themselves or their surroundings, these horns in my experience are also generally more effective in deterring deer from your path in the roadway than most. I have had these in a number of my vehicles. A key point with these horns is they function by creating friction on a diaphragm which will eventually wear down until you have an intermittent horn that progresses to non-functioning. Information that is sometimes absent or overlooked is that there's a simple adjustment to restore that friction to good as new several times over. It is also best to position the horn so that freezing water doesn't collect in the cone and impair function. These do, just due to the nature of having moving parts, eventually wear out. However, most models, no matter who you get them from, are identical enough to share the same mounting hardware making replacement very simple. I highly recommend these both for the novelty and effectiveness.

Sounds wonderful!
I installed this on my semi. It fits the classic scheme well and turns heads, lots of smiles and laughs. **Update** after taking delivery of my new truck and putting it into service 2 weeks ago, sadly the horn has stopped working. I went to use it and it sounded weird, then tried it again and it quit.

Sounds exactly as I was hoping
The media could not be loaded. I spent a few hours over the course of many weeks trying to find either a train horn or an ahooga horn for my 72 Baja Bug but many people worried me with their reviews saying the horns all sound weak or weird. Finally I came across this horn and the reviews, while not all amazing, seemed much more promising than others that I would actually get that classic "ahoooogah ahooga" sound. I must say that I am NOT disappointed. The horn was simple to connect as my bug already used that same type of connector. I literally just plugged it in and it worked like a charm!I've posted a video with the sound, as those were the most helpful for me when searching for the perfect sounding horn, and I will say I've only heard the horns in movies so if it's not perfect for the old timers, I apologize. It does however sound great in my humble opinion.

Fun to use... while it lasts !
My experience is "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR" after having ordered, installed and had fun with three of these over the past three months. Each of my units were installed in different positions, locations and at different angles in hopes that they would last longer. Each of my horns ran for a few weeks and I very much had fun with them.. mostly embarasing my girls while transporting to/from activities.. and alerting drivers sitting at green lights with their noses in their phones. So much fun.. then they stopped working. The motors worked.. you can hear the motor spinning up.. but the 'ooga' noise no longer emanates after a few weeks. My guess is the mechanism just gets worn down too fast. Cheap plastic ?! Well.. The price was cheap enough to replace but I'm not going to buy another one. I'm hunting for a better option that will last longer.
