This is very insightful when it come to dealing not with outside sin, nor pain in the heart, but sin in the heart. It shows the different methods of targeting real issues "below the surface", and how usual "Change through counseling often involves working through deep problems rather than repenting of deep sin". It shows how we try to control our own deep issues, not leaving any room for grace. It also targets what some call the Placebo Gospel"Orthodox Bible preachers rarely are lured into proclaiming a prosperity gospel, but still they appeal to that same desire for relief from groaning. They tell us more knowledge, more commitment, more giving, more prayer- some combination of Christian disciplines- will eliminate our need to struggle with deeply felt realities. The promise of one day being with Jesus in a perfect world is the Christians only hope for complete relief. Until then we either groan or pretend we don't."I can honestly say this book was a tool God used to help to confront those deeper issues so I could love more. I fell into a depression around chapter 7 and stopped reading for a few days, but I came back to the book and was relieved in the next few pages, so I strongly recommend to keep reading if you feel disheartened.Overall if you are interested in loving more, dealing with deep sin, repenting naturally, and learning more about what it means to be in the image of God; this is a great place to start.

In Quest of Spiritual Maturity
This book was recommended to me during a crisis in my life. It took me a while to get through the book because Dr. Crabb was accomplishing 2 things: helping people deal with crisis and establishing a new way of thinking about such crises. The "help" comes in the beginning and ending sections of the book, which were the most helpful sections to me.Because of Dr. Crabb's insight, I began to see the benefit of crisis as the birth of spiritual maturity. I have always considered chapter 2 in the biblical book of James as a passage written specifically to me:"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.""Inside Out" explained this divine process of spiritual growth in such a way that I developed a deep appreciation for crisis, struggle, and yes, suffering. From that appreciation came sincere empathy-- something I quite frankly lacked, but always wanted.I was strengthen so much by the book that I had my wife to read it, gave it to friends who also struggled in personal crisis, and asked members of my church's leadership team to read it (so we would be better at fostering spiritual maturity). In each instance, these individuals were confronted with issues that Dr. Crabb skillfully addressed. It truly is a challenging book and worthy "read."

I can not recommend this book high enough
I am deeply touched and challenged by way Dr. Crabb relates our need to let Christ, with unrestricted access, into the pride filled broken places of our lives. I found myself stopping every few pages to reread what I just read in order to really let it sink into my heart. What I found in the book s the story of my life and I am so thankful to have found this book.

Great Book!!!
This book is so good! So many good points. I always say that you should read something with an open mind. I didn’t agree with everything in the book, but definitely did with the steps to taking a look inside of your heart. Be willing to face your issues and willing to look inside of your heart. Healing only comes when you’re completely open to change. It’s a process and doesn’t happen overbite, but when you’re there it does come.

Very personable customer service and love the dose, and instant lift it gives. I like the flavor and fast shipment.
I really feel the difference after taking the sublingual cherry flavored b-12. I am trying to fight adrenal fatigue and was told b12 helped, so I did some research regarding the highest dosage available, the different types, sourceof b12, and the best way to take it. I like the dosage, I like the flavor, I like how quickly i can feel the difference and the value. I love the customer service and they even sent me a personal email asking if everything was OK and giving extra information and some basic tips. It was very personable, and I replied to them and thanked them and received a reply back right away! I hope you find this helpful and try it.

Comfortable? Hurting? Take a deeper look at the foundation with Dr. Larry Crabb
Inside Out, by Dr. Larry Crabb, is an amazing book that is just as relevant today as it was ten years ago, which must mean its gets at some transcendent truth. He hold no tricks up his sleeve to get better at being a Christain, but rather calls us to recognize that until heaven - and at no point before then - we will experience the pain and disappointments that this world has to offer. The key to Dr. Crabb's take comes in his deep unearthing of the health wealth and prosperity gospel that inundates western theology and the church at large. His message is that we must face confusion, feel disappointment and pray for conviction if we are to truly learn how to love and cling to the hope that is within us of that which is to come. I highly recommend this book.

A very insightful book that cuts to the bone
The author is very insightful and the message cuts to the bone, but it is a helpful and important one. This is one of those books where you need some time to digest it. I would read this again, just to continue reflecting on the message. Indeed, may we in the Church change from the inside out.
