This touch up stick is just what I need for my gray roots in between salon visits. I had previously been using a brush with powder-like touch up by Clairol that took forever and wasn't that effective. This touch up stick applies easily with short dabs to the gray area. I typically touch up both sides of my part - nearly a half inch each. The touch up is a waxy texture, almost crayon-like, but not greasy. I haven't had any issues with touching my hair and having the product come off on my hands or clothes. It does wash out and if I don't wash my hair for a day or two it will fade and need to be touched up a little. For the price, effectiveness, and the fact that you get two sticks, I think it's great!

This product is perfect for covering up greys, I can't always do a full color so this is great for in between. Goes on easy & looks great. I got the wine color, matches perfect. Also I have thin/fine hair, so it adds thickness for more volume & body to my hair! Glad I bought 4 of these, & will never be without it! Highly recommend!

... but it really depends on the hairstyle you're wearing. I'd like to see more color payoff when applied and it leaves a residue on the hair that will effect the bounce and flow of the hair strands.

Excellent product

Okay, so I'm entirely new to this type of product and haven't tried others, but I'm absolutely shocked at how great this has been working to darken some graying areas around my temples! Granted, there's not a lot of grays to cover in my case, but this does exactly what I wanted it to do---darken a small patch/area on my sides so that it blends with the rest of my hair that hasn't gotten very gray yet. I like how it goes on dry since I can do multiple light passes (I use my fingers to hold up longer hair and apply in layers) until I'm satisfied with the overall color. This lets me control how much to put on, and I don't have to deal with liquids, brushes, etc. It stays on throughout the day as long as I don't rub the area too much or too hard. Even if you do touch it, it still stays on, although I have noticed some color transfer on my fingers at times. I haven't noticed any staining on my pillow case, which was an initial concern when I first got it. The before-and-after picture that I took one morning says it all. It looks natural, goes on pretty quickly, and is easy to toss in a bag when traveling. I'd definitely recommend this to other men out there who might be afraid of trying dyes/touch-up products out of fear that the color may look too artificial, or wipe off too easily, or become runny when sweaty (the Guiliani effect! ha).

It’s perfect! Finally found something that really covers the gray hair without smudging, staining and not covering anything like all the rest! I have black hair but I got the jet black which works perfectly!

Texture is waxy but brushed in and happy with the results. Cheaper than L’Oreal spray that I had been using and coverage just as good. Handy stick that looks like lipstick is easy to travel with so very happy.
