Uninterested in following in his father's footsteps as a construction engineer, he became an artist of his own right, a cobbler. In 1887, at the age of 17, he opened his shop on Broadway and 39th Street, diagonally across from the old Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. Soon, the shop became a meeting place for dancers who would stop by to discuss their needs and to get a pair of his shoes. As Capezio's popularity grew, dancers from around the world made it a point to visit him and purchase his shoes.  The innovation of the products that Salvatore Capezio created and the camaraderie he shared with the dancers molded the direction that his company would follow. Good and comfy
I checked off that these fit as expected, but maybe that's misleading. I expected these to run small, and they do. I wear a 13 and ordered a half size up. They felt just the tiniest bit snug but I took a chance and wore them to a dance class and they were fine. I had read another review that said they will stretch and it makes sense if you think about the fact that there is a split sole. So as long as they don't keep stretching they'll be perfect. They are so much more comfortable compared to regular sneakers, too; I felt a big difference in how my knees and hips felt after an hour of dancing. I'm really pleased that these come in a good range of larger sizes. And they don't look as bad in a large size as I had feared. All in all, I'm a fan.

NICE SHOES!
NICE SHOES!!!! It is the first time in my life that I buy shoes just to dance. I am so happy I did! Even though I only used them once, I lost track of time. I danced almost for 3 hours! No pain, at all. They are so comfortable!!! And true to size. I am a 7.5 US in my Nike Sneakers and I ordered a 7.5 as suggested by some other ladies and the page itself. It is perfect!!!

Good quality
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Very nice shoes, very comfortable. Got them half a size bigger than my regular shoe size, and they fit perfectly. The shoes are very soft, hopefully they last long, will be trying them out at dance this week!

Good for line dancing
I followed the recommendations from others and ordered a full size larger, however, a half size would have been plenty. I had fallen a couple of times when my regular sneakers stuck to the floor during some turns and spins. These have a sweet spot on the ball of the foot that eases the turns and makes them flow much smoother. This is my first pair of shoes specifically for dancing, and while I was reluctant to spend money on shoes for this purpose, I am glad I did. I enjoy the experience more and am less tired by the end of the two plus hours.

Plus size with knee issues
I started taking Zumba a couple of months ago and was wearing my cross-training shoes to class. I started to develop knee pain immediately after each class. Several friends mentioned to me to buy a shoe that allows lateral movements. I finally found these shoes on Amazon for a great price because all of the other websites were too expensive. I was blown away with these shoes! I normally have a difficult time finding shoes for my 11 W foot, but when I read the reviews and ordered a size larger, 12, they fit perfectly. I wore these shoes to class for the very first time last Friday and immediately my knee pain disappeared. It was amazing! They are light-weight and provide great support for my weight. I am now able to perform all of the moves with ease and precision. You will not be disappointed. I plan on purchasing another pair.

Didn't work for me :(
After spending 30 minutes trying to lace up these shoes (seriously, you will see why they don't take the time to lace them at the factory!) I was excited to try them on as they looked very nice. For me, these shoes were incredibly uncomfortable and shifted my weight back onto my heels. I thought perhaps this might be a good thing but after wearing them around the house for less than 5 minutes I decided that, unfortunately, I could not use them for Zumba class, which is what I purchased them for.

I have had surgery on my right foot and have difficulty finding comfortable shoes.
I use them for my Zumba class. I don't wear them all the time and find them difficult to drive my car, so just wear them for class. I wear them with a short sock and they work for me. They would be a little to wide and long without the sock on. I have had surgery on my right foot and have difficulty finding comfortable shoes.

They gave my pinky toes a blister
My foot is 24cm/9.45 inches long, I got the size 8 and my big toe touches the tip of the shoe.Update: I returned them. Point of the shoe presses my toe nails and pinky toe so that they’re sore after the dance class. I was told these dance shoes must be broke into over time, but at the expense of my toes hurting and worsening? No thanks. I returned them. They’re quite narrow and super padded. Many people claim Capazio X is not actually Cañezio but a dupe - I don’t know but it surprised me that a big brand like this would make such uncomfortable shoes.

Perfect but watch the size!
This is a perfect Ballet Tutoring trainer. One has to be careful when ordering the size, though. I am a UK 4.5 to 5.0 size walking shoe. I needed a US size 7 to 7.5 in this Dance Trainer, equivalent to a UK size 6.

Stiff and uncomfortable
I bought these because I thought they would be easy to move in. They are not comfortable.

Excellent Zumba shoes. Buy them!
I took the advice of other users and purchased 1/2 larger. It fits perfectly. Love them. They help with Zumba turns and still feel secure. Highly recommended.
