Spuni BPA-Free Feeding Spoon in Neon & Playful Pink

Finally a baby spoon that actually supports the baby's transition to solid food! The design of the Spuni makes it possible for the baby to be ACTIVELY engaged in the feeding process. Instead of Mom and Dad passively placing the solid food in the baby's mouth, (only to scoop up the half that the baby has not swallowed and shovel it back into their little mouths ), the baby is able to TAKE the food from the spoon and then instinctively coordinates his/her swallow reflex to accommodate the solids. Voila! Excessive messiness avoided and feeding is not forced into the baby's mouth. The SPUNI seems to facilitate a natural developmental progression to solid foods. Apparently, someone took the time to research what muscles and reflexes a baby uses to eat, and then designed a spoon that adapts seamlessly to the baby's natural instinctive reflexes. I am spreading the word about this gem of a baby product ! KUDOS to the MIT brainiac's who developed and engineered a better baby spoon!!!

These spoons have been amazing for feeding my 6 month old. The shape of the spoon makes it easier to get food in her mouth and allow her to extract the food off of the spoon (the spoons are designed to allow the baby to latch and suck the food off more easily). The spoons are also very soft and feel like they're made out of silicon which is much softer than a lot of the plastic spoons out there. Overall I haven't experiences or seen a better quality baby spoon.

I felt silly at first spending so much on baby spoons when the market seems flooded with cheaper alternatives. However, everything we had previously tried for our (then) small mouthed preemie was too big or awkward for her little mouth to manage. These spoons have the smallest, easiest to latch on to bowls I've seen so far, and really aided us in starting solids. Now that our girl is a bit older and bigger she is able to eat from unspecialized baby spoons, but prior to that, these were a lifesaver.

These are wonderful first spoons for baby to transition from bottle to eating. Both of these spoons were dirty the other day so I just tried a small child's spoon instead. After a couple tries, I got up and washed the Spuni spoon instead. They are so much easier for my daughter to use. To me, these were worth the money and I'm considering getting two more.

These have very shallow dips for the spoons. Not very useful for a toddler.

These are a must have for early eaters.
