Good, high quality food
Clearly a high quality food appropriate for my elderly dog with some health issues. My dogs give it a paws up.I add in some high quality kibble to compensate for the lack of grains. Despite the fashion, grain free or gluten free dog foods probably are not helpful unless your dog has a problem with wheat, corn or other grain.

Salmon and chicken are my dogs favorite! Solid gold makes good food for dogs !Dry and canned foods. Healthy ingredients.This flavor is low in fat. Good for older dogs. Check the ingredients against what you feed your pet now. You will see the difference!

One of the few things my picky dog will eat.
Great option for picky eaters with sensitive stomachs. Have been feeding this as a topping for several years and my dog loves it. No stomach issues at all.

What happened? The quality has gone down! My dog doesn't recognize the food and neither do I!
For years, my senior dog has been happy eating Beyond by Purina, all-natural and no-grain dog food. She likes the lamb as recommended by our Vet and the cod and whitefish foods. We buy the wet food as she has no teeth.Well, the Beyond seems to be discontinued or there has been a distribution problem for the last few months. I was on auto-ship for 12 cans at [email protected]. I researched for a temporary but quality solution. I found Solid Gold Chicken and Salmon. When I opened the can, I could see the broth gravy, cubed potatoes, green peas and carrots. My dog loved it. Six cans are @23.00 so I thought we'd be on this until Purina got back into business.Suddenly, after giving a good review, I've had to change my star ratings to the current. A new shipment came in. The food looks very different. It is pulverized. Just a brown batch of paste that has no redeeming features. There are no visible chunks of real vegetables. No liquidy broth or gravy. Maybe this batch was cooked and over mixed into a pulp? My dog kept looking at it and sniffed around it and walked away!As I am writing, she is furiously barking her head off in disappointment at me! I've had to mix in an egg or cheese to get her to eat the food. She ate the topping of egg only. I finally had to call for a refund!What a let down for her and for me.Back to the drawing board for another quality brand!Batch number: 3422 46WSM2H 2049 SE.One box had made in Thailand and this batch didn't show place of manufacture. Is it China?Highly disappointed!

Solid Gold salmon and chicken dog food
Both of my dogs have devoured the Solid Gikd dog food, no GI upset noted and their poops are good. The older dog with renal issues seems to tolerate the food well. Very quick shipping.

2 cans we're like Fish Soup and 1 Can was normal Dog Food.
I liked the ingredients we're GMO rated no chemicals. I purchased 6 cans. 3 were really runny but 1 can was the right consistency.. I have 2 left fingers crossed its not Dog Fish Soup. Possibly a Shipping problem caused this? My Dog acts a lot healthier but she really stared at her Bowel before she tried it! 😆
