Franklin Wants a Pet

Love the story it’s a classic. It’s a pleasure reading it to my grandchildren.

Franklin books are the best. Franklin has thought about a pet for a long time and has considered which pet would be best for him. After a thoughtful discussion with his parents, a decision is made. Good lesson on responsibilities and kindness.

This is a terrific book for the primary set, teaching responsibility with a favorite character.The shipping however was disappointing. Although I ordered this with other items, I had to wait for it to become available. As a result it was sent separately in a flexible envelope-type mailer, through USPS. Apparently the carrier didn't understand that it was a paperback book (it was not marked as such on the mailer) and laziness prevailed. (Shock! Not!) The carrier folded it in half and jammed it (crunched it) into my street-side mailbox. You can imagine the condition of the book upon receipt. In the future I would hope that Amazon would consider the laziness and apparently stupidity of some USPS carriers and send books in an inflexible mailer.

My 4yo toddler is absolutely in love with the Franklin books. They are beautifully illustrated and they are the perfect length for a bedtime reading. You can stop and discuss these stories with the young kid and relate them to real life behavior and they are a great teaching tool. Being at an age when he too keeps asking about a pet, the book allows him to relate to Franklin on his quest to convince the parents to get him the pet he wants...

My Grandson loves Franklin and we read this book almost everyday

Another wonderful Franklin story. He brings us life lessons through thoughtful writing and always leaves us with a smile. Franklin has captured the hard to gain attention of Emily, my 13yr old daughter who has autism, time and time again. I look forward to tomorrow night when we once again have story time with Franklin.
