Love elephants and this was a perfect fit for my trail blazer. The image is like a hard puffy plastic and if it gets really cold I'm afraid it will crack. I live in Florida so that shouldn't be an issue. The image is directly under your feet so it will be constantly stepped on. Image should be up more above your feet. It is a beautiful mat though! I love the way it brightens up my car and I got a free gift with mine!

Elephant is glued on plastic. I don't know how long it will last before it loses adhesion. I didn't see or feel where the special heel guard that it is supposed to have, but the mat feels nice to the feet if you like to take your shoes off in the car. I used the two small mats under a car seat because they are so small.
