Bassoon Reed Medium

My son complained broke in middle of his performance.

My 14yo is an aspiring bassoonist and this is her favorite reed. She has played on this one longer than any other and it’s holding up well.

I bought two medium reeds. One was playable — not great, but usable — with a LOT of scraping and adjusting. The other was complete junk, especially around the top of the staff. For me, Jones Artists are infinitely better.

Bought reeds for daughter who plays the bassoon. These reeds are the best brands by far! Better sound quality and lasts a little longer than others. Although a bit pricey. Have already purchased several times.

These are the best reeds money can buy.the reeds are always just right out of the box and after soaking them in water for about 30 seconds they are ready to play every time. They usually last me about three months each if I play them every single day.

It would be very difficult to submit anything other than a one star review. I received the reed, as pictured, out of its package and broken. The likelihood of this, making it through a performance, or even just practicing, it’s highly unlikely.

Reed plays well right out of the box and with a little adjustment it is a good playing reed.
