Well made shackle. It’s made in the US for those who care. Price is in line with similar items found in hardware stores. The screw pin is painted red which distinguishes this from others. It does nothing for the functionality it likely will just wear off over time though.

If you want a professional shackle and not one that is painted neon green, get the Crosby. I got this for use with my tractor. I’ve used the Crosby in the past and am much more impressed with quality and performance than I am with looks. The red pin on the one I got was no where near as good looking as the red pin in the promotional shots. Kind of like what you see in a fast food ad, but like I said this is a work tool and not for a boulevard show jeep.

I use Crosby shackles when dragging vehicles that are stuck, on trees that I'm cutting down, just anywhere I need to connect rigging straps to anything. Crosby is the brand we use in the nuclear industry for heavy lifting. Why use something not made in America?

This shackle is well made. Was used on a hoist.
