Q: The gold rim on my Cockatoo Mug isn't shiny gold like the other mugs...it's a matt finish and quite faint. Is this normal?

The rim is not shinny. While it says they are dishwasher safe the gold rim is quickly wearing off. They are still beautiful but almost rimless.

Q: it says both dishwasher safe and hand wash. Is it dishwasher safe??

I put them in the dishwasher and they look great. But I put silver and crystal in the dishwasher too and they will all outlast me. Go for it!
