Q: Are these raw as in not heated to high temps during processing?

From Pure Living: "These beans have been sprouted and dried at low temperatures (65-110°) to maintain enzymes, vitamins and minerals. As such, PURELIVING Sprouted Black Beans are considered a raw product."

Q: If these have already been sprouted, why is it necessary to further soak them?

Good question! I do not know but if you don’t they are really hard.
