I thought a medium-sized chalk board that cost almost $50 would be decent quality. I was wrong. This unit screams "cheap!" The actual chalk board surface is a piece of particle board spray painted with a thin "chalk-board-like" surface. The frame is made out of very light and flimsy soft wood. There is some protective plastic on the chalk board surface that isn't easy to remove so you have to sit there picking tiny pieces of plastic out from the frame. I regret this purchase. I should have shopped around more. This is a poorly-made, overpriced product.
