NOT THE SAME!
I used to LOVE clairol born blonde maxi. Despite what clairol terrible customer support has told me this is NOT the same product. They changed the packaging from what it used to be. The hair color chart on the back has also changed so they KNOW it doesn’t lighten as well. It is a garbage product now. This is NOT the born blonde maxi that we used to love. However I found a bleach kit that works almost as good as the old maxi and definitely better than this junk. Garnier ultra light platinum PL2. Hope this helps u all.

NOT the old formula I loved!!
I don’t write reviews (I know I should write them more) but I was compelled to write a review for this product because, as the other reviewer who left a less than stellar review stated, this is NOT the same hair bleach known as Clairol Nice N Easy Born blonde Maxi blonding kit that I used to use!My hair is naturally a level 8 (dark blonde), and I used to get my hair WHITE with this product in only 20 minutes! Not only does this product not lift the color nearly as high, but the color is much more brassy than blue and it’s all I can do to tone it with color depositing conditioner to get it platinum-ish. I also think that either it’s a flaw with the new formulation or this particular vendor is selling old products, but the powder bleach in the kit is clumpy and does not distribute thoroughly in the developer as it should.If you’re used to using the old formula of this product and are thinking of buying it again, or you’re a first time bleacher looking for the perfect high lift bleach, do not buy this product! I’m so upset because I’ve used this for years and don’t know of another product that will give me the high lift and beautiful color I used to achieve with the kit.:(

Only brand and color I use!
I love this product. I do have very dark hair so I use a toner after I color it to get rid of the yellow and brassiness. I’ve been using this color for a few years.

Partial product totally empty. Cannot use it at all.
I purchased two boxes of this hair lightener. One was complete, the second came with the Lightening Powder ripped along the front and no powder was in it. Therefore I cannot use this box at all.

I have been using this box color for as long as I can remember. Maybe 10-15years. And now you can’t even find it at department stores so must stock up when you can find it.

Only bleach that doesn’t turn my hair orange!
I’ve been using this to touch up my roots and it is AMAZING. It doesn’t make my hair orange (my natural colour is a dark brown) and I don’t have to use a toner. Will only be using this brand moving forward.

I have Elsa hair!
Took most of the orange out that the Splat! Bleach I previously used left behind. Since my hair was already pretty light, it left my hair a whitish color, like Elsa. I love it and now I'm reluctant to put the blue color I bought over it. Might enjoy my Elsa hair a while. But definitely an amazing bleach, will be using this kind in the future!

Used it on my face and stomach
I used this product on my upper lip and stomach despite the instructions telling me not too, I used the amounts given in the instructions for a test strand and left it on for 6 minutes after applying (I tested it out on a patch of my arm before putting it on my face!) and had amazing results 10/10 great for fine body hair

I buy two just because my hair is so long and get better coverage. Love how well it lightens dark hair without leaving it brassy. Great price!

3 missing, 1 broken & 1 wrong product
I paid for this product & it's past the 3 day tracking process. You can either replace, refund or open a claim with Canada Post (Jennifer). This is just 1 of 3 Amazon products that are missing right now. I've got 3 missing products, 1 broken & 1 return product from Amazon that I'm dealing with at this time. I'm a senior with disabilities & have been shopping with Amazon for years. It's becoming more apparent that is no longer easy for me. I wish the missing products sent to me & I will send the wrong & broken product back to Amazon when I am able. Thank you
