Aviation and Airport Security: Terrorism and Safety Concerns, Second Edition

Got the book for a class that required it and didn't end up opening it once.Arrived in good condition and if I can judge this book by its cover, the contents should be fine.Can't say much for the writing though.

The book it dated. You wouldn't think so, being only 4 years old, but a lot happens in the airline security world in 4 years. I bought this as a text for a college course and one of the questions on the midterm was which terrorist is at the top of the most wanted list and is still at large? Osama bin Laden was the required correct answer, even though we know better. There are lots of grammar and typos but also things like the four aircraft that crashed on 9/11 were worth $50 billion each and all together were insured for $2 million. The million and billion were switched. Just thought it could have been edited better. If you need it for a class though, just buy it and live with it.

Topical, historical, and complete and concisely written. An excellent read for the layman or the student or professional in the AVSEC world, this book has something for everyone and is masterfully written. You will understand the threat and the level of effort required to counter it in reading its well constructed chapters and realize that constant vigilance is the price of safety and security.

I Got this book for an online class that I am doing for college. the only thing I don't like about it is that the print is small and colorless and dull. but what textbook isn't like that. The book has lots of meaningful insights/facts that involve aviation and its developement of aviation security.

This is a very important book in understanding Aviation Security! If you are interested in Aviation, or Homeland security, studying anything in these field, or involving them, you should get this book to add to your knowledge. I am excited to be studying from it today in fact!

The author really needs a new editor. Grammar, spelling, and factual errors, as well as several inconsistencies are spread throughout the book.

Riddled with errors and generalities. Good for the general understanding of aviation security and terrorism response, but not very clear or precise.

An interesting introductory book on the topic of aviation and airport security. It explains fundamentals and key concepts whilst containing references for further study.
