System worked great other than Sensor cleaner (step 1). The straw would but mate with the cleaner can. Ether the straw is to big or nozzle hole is to small. I used without.

I’ve used this 4-part cleaning kit in two of my vehicles now. On one car it helped clear an engine code, and the other was just for preventative maintenance. Both cars run smoother and start easier. The directions are straightforward and you only need modest skills to use the cleaners.

Step 1: Standard MAF cleaner. Works as advertised.Step 2: The cleaner did ok. The mechanism on the bottle I received was defective. Once on, it leaked cleaner until the bottle was empty.....the stand alone stuff has never leaked like that on me.Step 3: Easy to use. Pretty sure it cleaned well, clouds of white smoke for a good 10 mins, so use in a well ventilated space (i.e not your garage with the door open unless you want to smell it for a week). I ended up pulling my truck out far enough that the tailpipe was outside, but not until after my garage was pretty smoky.Step 4: Looks like pretty standard in-tank fuel system cleaner. Bottle is wide mouth and went in pretty easy.Overall, nice kit. Super easy to use. I doubt you could find Step 3 much cheaper.....the Toyota kit is $110 last I checked, so worth it for that alone. I'd use our own Throttle body cleaner, this one was a bit of a PITA. A little warning about the smoke from Step 3 would've been nice. My check Engine light came on, to be expected, I'll let you all know if it doesn't shut itself off after a few trips.

Works great! Made my old van run like new! The van had a rough idle and the service engine light would blink if the car sat at a red light for too long. I was getting codes for 'random misfire' and 'cylinder 6 misfire'. These vans do have a lot of trouble with head haskets and intake gaskets, but the intake gasket was done about a year ago and the entire engine was replaced in 2015. The van had needed a new idle speed control motor and when I replaced it I noticed that the pintle was severely coked up. I knew that an upper intake and throttle body cleaning was due. The van had belonged to an elderly couple before I purchased it in 2017 and I am guessing it took a lot of short trips and was not warmed up all the way often enough. After purchasing the kit I followed all the directions to treat the engine. I did do one thing differently. For step 2 I ran the cleaner through the throttle body, but I also removed the idle speed control motor and ran the cleaner through that passage as well. That might be helpful if you know that the idle passage is coked up. Anyhow the van runs very well now, has much better acceleration, and idles smoothe as butter. After driving the van for about 30 minutes the check engine light went out and all is well.

I feel that systematically cleaning all the intake components with specific products works better than using single generic products. My 15 year old intake system had some visible carbon buildup, and this removed it so I assume it removed what I couldn't see as well.As soon a the process was complete, I took the vehicle for a test drive and the engine sounded and drove great. The LS2 is a great older performance small block engine and a clean intake/ injector system makes a big difference.

Directions very easy to follow; product works as advertised; very happy with results! Motor runs quieter and smoother. I went a little overboard cleaning down inside the throttle body flanges on my ‘12 Ram 1500 5.7 hemisphere, so I got residual white smoke burn off for about 1 minute after start up but no harm done. No change in mpg but I didn’t really expect any. With 140k miles, I just wanted to treat my motor to a good clean and lo and behold.... result!!

Followed the simple instructions,250k miles, frequent misfire codes on cold weather starts only. Suspected throttle body. Confirmed. Problem stopped after this treatment. Have now added this to a more frequent PM.

I followed all the instructions to the letter, but the hose from the can to the regulator (yes, I used the correct one for my car) kept blowing off and spraying whatever this stuff is all over my engine, AND ME! It would not stay attached, slipping apart even when I was holding it together. Not cool.
