Munchkin® Soft Tip™ Baby Spoons, BPA Free, 6 Pack

I bought these spoons because I liked the bright colors. They looked fun and like they would capture the interest of my little man, who was just starting on solids. I also purchased the soft-tip Munchkin spoons (that are similar to the Gerber brand) and the Nuk temperature-sensitive spoons. Well, the Nuk and Munchkin spoons never get used because these spoons combine all of the best features of both. First, these spoons have a deep basin like the Nuk spoons. The padded tip spoons are so shallow that you can barely get any food on them. Second, these spoons have a soft tip. The whole basin of the spoon is actually flexible, which makes for a more comfortable eating experience for your baby. Third, the bright colors really do capture the baby's interest so they are more likely to pay attention once they get to that age where they are easily distracted. Finally, they have a longer handle than any other baby spoon I've seen so feeding is easier for the feeder. They are not temperature sensitive, but who feeds their baby without checking the temperature of the food anyway? This is one of the best products I've bought for my son! I would like to notify you that the colors I received are not the same as pictured. I received two spoons with pink basins (one with blue and one with green) and one purple spoon that is a pastel purple with yellow, so three of my six spoons are girly. Not that it really matters, just fyi.

I originally was using the padded spoons that turn white when the food is too hot. I could never get a good amount of food on them, they were short handled and I didn't find the temperature feature useful as I check the temperature of my babies food first anyway. So on my hunt I found these. I really like Munchkin products and this is no different.The spoons have longer handles which means I don't have to be 2" from my son's face. I can sit down while he's in the highchair and comfortably feed him. They also have soft tips which I love because it doesn't hurt him when he chews the spoon along with the food. Speaking of, these fit the perfect amount of food on them. The colors are bright and fun but I don't notice him staring at them, he's too busy looking around the dining room. Some of the colors are girly but he's 5 months old, I don't think he cares right now that his spoon has a pink tip and not blue. As he gets older I'll phase out the girl colors for him. They are also dishwasher safe, top rack, which is a big plus for me. I don't buy anything I can't throw in the dishwasher. Good purchase, I highly recommend them.

My wife and I got these after trying a few other types of spoons, and these have been amazing - just the right size and very flexible and durable. The other spoons we tried were either so big that they were hard to get into our child's mouth (and hence ended up spilling a bunch of food), or they were so small you could barely fit enough food to on them to make a difference. We also like that, although they're soft to the touch and therefore on our child's teeth and gums, they are also very durable with barely any noted teeth marks in them. They're dishwasher safe and get clear very easily. We also always pack a few on our road trips - they fit in a regular sandwich baggie easily and are very convenient to have around. We've loved these spoons and will get more when these wear out eventually (seems like they'll last years).Pros:-light, soft, and flexible-durable-dishwasher safe-just the right sizeCons:-they don't have characters on them - no really, I have no negative comments on these spoons

We started using these when my daughter started solids around 5 months old. She seems to like these spoons and eats well off of them. The head of the spoon is small and narrow which works well for her little mouth. We have also tired the lightweight disposable spoons which did not work as well in my opinion. We have only used these to feed foods to my daughter, I do not believe they would work well is she was feeding herself. The only drawback (as mentioned in other reviews) is that the handle is heavy and the spoon tends to fall backwards when left sitting in a bowl. This hasn’t been a huge issue for us. I just prop the spoon on the bowl using the bump in the handle. Not a deal breaker for us and I have since bought a second pack of these.

These spoons work okay, they have soft tips and rounded shapes that are gentle on gums. However, they’re kind of deep so my baby couldn’t get all the food on the spoon. They’re easy to clean but one of the problem is that they get stain easily. The price is reasonable for 6 counts.

I don't know why people have issues with these spoons! They are perfect. Bright colors, sturdy, all one piece and top-rack dishwasher safe. The bowl is nice and deep compared to Gerber's soft bite spoons too.Other reviewers' cons were that the spoon is top heavy and the the notch does nothing but make the baby jar fall over if you have the spoon in it. Really??? Sorry but I don't leave my spoon just sitting in the jar of baby food so it's not a problem. Other people complained about the colors of the spoons being more girl-themed as there is one purple spoon in the mix and the red is more of a pink. I have a boy. He eats A LOT. I don't care what color the spoons are as long as they are clean and ready to go. Plus he's quite fascinated by the colors.
