Evanger's Super Premium Duck & Fresh Sweet Potato Dinner for Dogs 12.5 oz/12 Pack

Because my senior dog has a heart murmur & significant heart valve disease, I was making a heart support dog food recipe (written by a Veterinarian). One of the major ingredients was beef heart. Where I live, it's hard to getand the recipe is a LOT of work. So I needed to go to "Plan B" and found Evanger's dog food. After reading the ingredients, I found it matched close enough to the dog food I was making (takes hours & a lot of effort). My dog ended up loving this canned dog food and there was no intestinal issues switching to the new food. Very grateful for this quality dog food.

(photo above is inaccurate...this last order was the Venison & Beef Dinner). This review is NOT OF EVANGERS DOG FOOD....IT IS EXCELLENT. BUT SADLY, BECAUSE OF AMAZON I AM AFRAID TO ORDER ANYMORE. This is now the THIRD (3rd ) time I've received a case of Evangers canned dog food, opened it up, and had multiple cans severely dented! The first time I called Evangers directly and they were unable (or unwilling) to help, telling me it wasn't their issue, but Amazon's. So I cannot keep telling them as that gets me nowhere. In addition to 3 shipments being bashed up, one other time I ordered a case for $34, and Amazon sent me one single can!!!! I did call Amazon and they sent the case, but THREE orders all smashed???? I can't keep chasing replacements. My dogs love this food and the ingredients made it worth the money. But Amazon does not care about how they move the cases around. My guess is the pallets are being rammed by the drivers and they don't care. And sooner or later one of these cans are going to poison my dogs due to bacterias entering from the many MANY dents in the cans. AMAZON HAS GIVEN A GREAT SERVICE SINCE THE PANDEMIC, BUT MOST OF US KNOW THEY HAVE NOT DONE SUCH A GREAT SERVICE FOR THE ACTUAL VENDORS. THIS IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF TAKING THEIR POSITION OF GREATNESS FOR GRANTED, AND NOW LOWERING THEIR QUALITY OF SERVICE, SURELY FOR MORE STOCKHOLDER PROFIT. SO SORRY EVANGERS!!!!!!!

My dog has finally lost weight eating this food!!

Bert the Red Leopard Catahoula loves this canned food. Eats it w his favorite dry food. He's made no complaints against the food, so must be good enough for him.

I always feel so much better if I open a can of food that has a really pleasant, fresh meat smell to it and that even surprises me since I'm a vegetarian! We first tried Evanger's products purchased through our vet's office while trying to determine just how much of the entire world my poor service dog was allergic to. I really appreciated the high quality and the variety of meats that are available, especially when feeding a hard working girl who is allergic to so very much! I was really pleased when I found that I could purchase Evanger's products from Amazon and Phoebe is also very happy about that!Evanger's uses good, healthy, fresh ingredients that can be witnessed by your nose when you open a can and observed by the shiny coat and sparkling eyes of your pet as they happily eat it down. Over the years, I determined that my dogs were healthiest when given a diet similar to mine (but with plenty of fresh meat added), but as cooking has become more difficult for me, I've begun adding high quality canned food to the vegetables and fruits I prepare for them whenever it's not convenient for me to prepare their meat. This is absolutely a meal that we'll add into the rotation.
