Highly recommended
There were no reviews with pics of these Narex wood rasps so I added a review here. Very high quality for a machine stitched rasp. When it says “course” believe it. These will absolutely hog off material quickly and easily. Follow up with a fine rasp or sandpaper and you’re good to go for all your shaping needs. Also to note, these are giant rasps. I’ve included a pic next to my normal file for comparison.

very nicely designed and made. well worth the money.
I used it to make a 1" barrel channel in a 3" long walnut forearm tip (on a rifle stock) . I noticed my cheap 8" Four in one file was making grooves, and this one was removing material evenly. There is a "shoulder" section of the rasp that allows for finer control, which I found useful. Other reviewers stated that it removed wood quickly, but I found in hardwoods, it removed material at a reasonable rate, with good control. I have other rasps and files that came in sets, but this one and my Shinto saw rasp are heads and shoulders above.

Nice, well made and useful hand tool for woodworkiing!
I know, it's expensive. This however is how wood rasps we're made a long, long time ago. Yes, the "stitching" is done by machine (I think there's still one company that does it by hand in France $$$$$) but it's done as well. The difference between this and the run of the mill rasp is that the Narex cuts wood aggressively. Very aggressively! Isn't that what a wood rasp is suppose to do? If your getting a little fancy with the details in your cabinet making... you might want to try out this line of rasps. Control is everything but this is one amazing hand tool. Try one out (on some scrap) and find the angle and hand pressure that works best for you. I like it so much that I just placed an order for the 1/2 round.

More teeth=better bite
Looks like a well made tool. A lot more teeth which should give a better more controlled bite than a rasp with less teeth per inch.
