Real lifesaver!
Absolute must if you are using ground beef for making jerky. Hands down. There are small issues when using this gun:1. Because of the design, you can't push all the meet from the gun so you have to push it out manually.2. When reloading the tube, you can get air pockets which would cause the stuffing to shoot out, so remember to loosen the bottom ring when reloading.Once you get used to it, this gun is absolutely irreplaceable.

Really well made
Jerky gunI was sent this in return for my honest opinion on it.Ive only once tried a small version of these jerky guns and it didn't impress me as much as this one has. A strong, robust and durable aluminium design, it definitely looks like a professional piece of kitchen equipment. It's roughly 50cm long, with a 39cm x 7cm barrel. The trigger sits at the back, which is nice and easy to use, obviously when there is a hefty amount of meat in there, it does need a good squeeze. You have two 7cm long, stainless steel nozzles, one being a tubular shape and the other a regular jerky strip shape. You also have a long cleaning brush, which does clean the majority of the barrel but we did have to remove a tiny bit of leftover meat with our fingers. The instructions are quite informative, they make it easy for first time users and they also explain the best cooking method for jerky too, which I thought was good.I would definitely wash this before you first use it, as it did have a slight smell to it. You need to depress the barrel, which is easy, press down the rear plunger release and pull back the bar. When making your jerky sausage type shapes for the barrel, I would make them a little bit smaller than the tube size itself, otherwise meat can get stuck to the walls, you can fit more in this way I feel like. Place your nozzle on and screw the top piece back on. This all stays really well in place whilst piping.I do think this is fantastic, probably bigger in size than we needed but definitely useful for parties and bbq's etc. It seems well made, durable and it works well. I would recommend it. It is slightly more than I thought it would be but I did expect a high'ish price for the quality it is.

Loved it! Easy to use and clean.
This jerky gun makes making jerky with minced meat an absolute breeze!I used 1kg of beef mince and needed to do it in 2 goes. But it took minutes.I found a simple trick was to cut the mince with a knife or scissors when you want to end the strip it makes for a nicer looking end product. It has a cleaning brush for cleaning this works very well.If I was to be fussy I would say it would be nice to come with a stuffer.I found if I didn’t really push it down with a small rolling pin it had lots of air and gaps in it and didn’t work very well.Once impressed everything down and in place it worked perfectly. The gun needs to be cleaned before use but again this is a simple task it all comes apart and the supplied brush really makes it easy.Having this gun has made it a much easier task as previously cutting the meat by hand takes a lot more time and effort and I find I don’t find the time to do it.I can’t wait to get my next batch on as they do not last long in my house!I hope this has helped you

Light, efficient and with a good quality trigger and plunging bar
I received this jerky gun as part of the Amazon Vine programme. In return for a fair and honest review. The gun is excellent quality. It's built very well with the trigger function working very smoothly and seeming like it's built to last. The plunging bar or whatever it is called is of similar good quality. It's an aluminium build and actually feels quite light to me, for what it is.The gun is a good size and allows me to get a lot of meat in there but also big enough to allow me to get the supplied cleaning brush inside and give it a thorough clean after each use, which to me is vital. You also get 2 nozzle attachments included and I think I will get many happy hours out of this. I've already spent around 10 hours or so in the kitchen with this so far and it's proving to be a great utensil in my kitchen.

Great product but can't help but think it's a little large
I'm a huge fan of kitchen gadgets and experimenting with food. I have previously dried meat and made jerky style treats for myself and my dogs. Therefore this product really appealed to me.It comes with 2 attachments for different shapes and thickness of jerky along with a good size cleaning brush. The jerky shooter is made of aluminium and works in the same was as your DIY silicone sealant devices. You simply fill it and then pull the trigger to push a stream of produce out the end. This is very easy to take apart to clean which is great with regards to food hygiene. The one area of concern I have is its size. This was quite a shock. It is therefore difficult to store.Despite its size and slightly high price I am really pleased with this product. If it was around the £50 mark I would have no question about purchasing it. It is well made and seems that it will be long lasting. If you like to experiment in the kitchen then I recommend this product.

ideal for beginners or professionals
This is a great piece of equipment, so easy to use and even easier to clean. As stated in the product description this is a heavy duty pro meat jerky gun, youi can feel the quality as soon as you lift the gun put of the packaging and feel the weight. You do need a firm grip when suing this and both hands are needed to operate this with a bit of force, it's not a simple slip and slide machine you need to apply pressure to push the jerky out.I've never actually weighed the amount of meat I've put into this but it states it can hold up to 1.lbs of meat so quite a bit of meat.May seem expensive but this is a investment, very well made with high quality materials, extremly easy to clean, very concise instruction manual and long term cost saving as opposed to buying jerky.
