Prince Valiant, Vol. 10: 1955-1956 (PRINCE VALIANT HC)

Continuing incredibly good work by perhaps the absolute best weekly cartoonist in the history of comics. Hal Foster continued in this, his 19th and 20th years of drawing and coloring the most engaging, and entertaining comic strip ever done. While the story line is completely fictional, it tells a story that is timeless. The good knight versus all of the bad elements both of civilized medieval Europe, and barbarian hordes knocking at the door of castles and cities everywhere in that world. The artwork is absolutely superb, and the story line is too interesting to miss, even for one week, even now, 78 years after the story began with the first Sunday strip in 1937. Anyone with any interest whatever in great comic art should make this and the other books in this series, put on their MUST HAVE list!

I have been reading Prince Valiant since I was a kid and learned how to read. In those days it was the Sunday funnies and laying the on floor to be able to handle the paper.These volumes and the colors and drawing are great. Hal Foster was the greatest artist. (Is that too many greats?)Shipment is fast and arrives right after the books are released... July is the next release date for Vol. 11 ...Have to choice but to wait ...

Purchased 4 copies for my various adult sons for Christmas. We all love Prince Valiant, although the older strips are better than the newer ones. Well written, well drawn, great reproductions of the original art in a hardcover format.

Hal Foster does it again! Art work, detail, color presentation, story line first rate.

More American comic strip classics reprinted! Glorious black and white. Love all of them...Phantom, Dick Tracy, Prince Valiant, Peanuts, etc. A gorgeous volume to add to your collection. I have it and the others!

Hal Foster was easily the giant of the Sunday comics industry. His artwork and stories were consistently well-crafted. The drawings and inking in this volume continue the high standards he set from the beginning. Exceptional as usual.

In my opinion Hall Foster is one of the best ever illustrators and Vol. 10 continues to be positive proof of it. The printing is excellent and well worth getting
