Q: How does this lens compare to the Olympus Zukio 70-300 f4.0-5.6 Lens? As far as I can tell, the 70-300 is a faster lens, but the 75-300 costs more!

The Zukio 70-300 f4.0-5.6 lens is a Four Thirds Lens for the Olympus E- DSLR Systems, while the Zukio 75-300 f4.8-6.7 is a Micro Four Thirds lens, a smaller and more compact lens for the Olympus OMD systems. Yes the 70-300 is faster, but it is bigger. I had that lens with my E-510, and while it works great with a tripod it's hard to handle without one. However, I can easily manage the 75-300 with my OM-D E-M5 camera and I get excellent results.Hope this helps.Ulf Wolf

This lens as most Olympus lenses does NOT include the hood!!!You can buy the LH-61E Lens Hood offered by Amazon or an other 58mm threaded ono for it!!Albert E

This is the one for the micro 4/3 system. You should not need an adapter.

Q: Will this lens work with an Olympus E-450?

No, the 75-300mm f/4.8-6.7 is for only micro4/3 (mirrorless Olympus & Panasonic) cameras. The E-450 is a 4/3 DSLR. The lens flange to sensor is much less on micro4/3 cameras compared to the E-450 which precludes adapters. Olympus did make a ZD 70-300mm f/4-5.6 4/3 their 4/3 DSLRs that you might can find on the used market.
