Very Impressive Video!
After many days of finding the right location to mount the camera, installation of this camera was pretty straight forward. NOTE: Prior to connecting the CAT6 ethernet cable to the camera, I used a network cable tester and tested both ends of the CAT6 cable RJ45 connectors, and verified that all 8 wires were crimped and installed correctly on the RJ45 connectors. I highly advise that you perform this step prior to installing the camera. If the camera is installed 20+ feet high in the air, and if the wires are not test and failed to work...Trouble shooting would be a very very difficult task. App Installation: The supplied manual recommend to use Danale app, and this app is available for both Android and iOS. Since I own an iPhone, I downloaded and installed both apps. Before app registration, I had the camera connected to an NVR, which was connected to one of the switch ports on the Router Firewall. Once I verified connectivity with the switch I registered the app and the camera installation went pretty quick. Image quality: Once the video feed appears, I had to adjust the camera to the appropriate location by using the included Allen key to open the dome cover, and manually rotate and tilt the base and the cameraโs lense to the desire location. No need to loosen up the two screws as instructed by the manual. Once a suitable location is adjusted for the initial video feed testing, to my surprise, the image quality is so clear and crisp! The quality of the sensor and lens on this camera is incredible...So nice and clear for a 5MP! The horizontal field of view is also very wide. I must say about 95+ degrees. Motion Detection and Recording: The camera is connected to a LaView NVR, and the NVR detected the camera within a few seconds and it was a breeze to setup. I configure the NVR to record when motion is detected and it works very well. However, I had to adjust the motion sensitivity and motion detection grids (the red squares) on certain areas to minimize the false positive push notifications (e.g movement of tree branches). Audio: The camera does have a built in Mic and I can hear the sounds quite clearly through both the app and the playback of recorded clips. Itโs pretty amazingly clear! Summary: Overall, I'm really impress with this camera and the useful and functional features that packed into it. The image quality is amazing for a 5MP cam. This must be attributed to the quality of the sensor and lens. All I can say is Iโm a happy camper! The motion and planned recording also works flawlessly. Aesthetically, IMHO, it looks pretty professionally good and pretty discrete once mounted outside under the soffit of my garage :) If you are in the market for a high quality security camera and not breaking the bank, this one is for you! I highly recommended!

Great IP Camera! I Keep Buying Moreโฆ
If youโre looking for ONVIF or Hik compatible IP camera, for my money Anpviz cameras are the BEST Iโve come across. Just as good as my HIK cameras without paying double! I have several NVRs running at different sites that were Hikvision and I like how easy it is to work with Hikvision cameras and NVRs. When I wanted to add more cameras, I noticed a wide variety of Hikvision, Hik compatible and ONVIF IP cameras with much better pricing than buying Hik branded IP cameras. I ordered a couple of IP cameras from several different brands that were said to be compatible with Hik NVRs or at least ONVIF compatible. Hereโs why I will be ordering from Anpviz vs the others: Software interface/Default programming: With Anpviz, I could easily find the camera on my network. Itโs defaulted to DHCP. My NVR software also recognizes the camera in the Device Management section which makes it easy to add individually on my computer or to do the same via the NVR. Some of the other brands didnโt even come with documentation and were not DHCP defaulted. Very frustrating and time consuming. Anpviz cameras were super easy to find, setup and adjust. As close to plug n play as anything out there and worked seamlessly with my HIK NVRs. Picture: I have to admit, when testing out the different cameras, I ordered 3 MP, 4 MP and 5 MP to compare. All of the cameras on my existing system were 4 MP and the quality was great. Going from 4 MP to 5 MP took a little getting used to. It feels more squared than widescreen. Worry not. Itโs wider than a 4 MP and taller as well. 5 MP gives you more real estate. Iโve used these cameras indoors and the picture quality is excellent both day and night mode. Actually impressed with how good it looks in night mode. Some of the others I bought (and used) provided comparable picture quality, but were not very compatible with my HIK NVRs. Iโve had to make SOOO many adjustments to image and video settings just to get them to work and even then were glitchy- frozen livestreams, connection lost, etc. I am replacing them with Anpviz cameras. Not worth the frustration. Body/Size: Everything on this camera is solid. Metal casing feels solid. When you pop off the dome, adjusting the cameral angle is easy. I tend to be careful as to not break anything when adjusting as it feels a little fragile, but all in all never had an issue and adjustments are smooth. Lastly, the size. For both indoor and outdoor, the size of this camera is very good. Anpiz makes a smaller model than this one, but I think you lose a bit on the night vision quality. Any bigger than this size and I would say for outdoor use only. This particular model works very well for both. Iโve had Anpviz cameras for close to a year now without any issues. Canโt say the same for the others. Anpviz makes a solid IP camera and I havenโt come across anything yet that compares the value you get without sacrificing quality.

Very nice dome camera
This is a very nice dome camera. I like the web interface and it was very easy to configure. Lots of options for advanced users or users that want to tweak the video settings. Blue Iris 5 added the camera with no problems. The only thing that I didn't like about the camera is adjusting the viewing angle. This is not a PTZ camera so, once mounted, the camera has to be fined tuned left-to-right and up-to-down manually. That part was expected. I wish there was a way to do it without having to take the whole cover off the camera and exposing the circuit board. The reason that it lost a star is because of the ground and audio wires inside the camera. After the cover is removed, the very short ground and audio wires prevent you from adjusting the camera without removing them. The mic side of the audio wire looks to have silicone caulk on the dome side of the camera (water proofing!) but that makes it impossible to detach that side of the wire. The only option is to detach the audio wire at the connector on the circuit board. The connector is extremely small and depending on the camera adjustment it can be nearly impossible to get it reconnected. My big fingers were not up to the task and even with a pair of hemostats I couldn't do it. I didn't really need audio so I left it detached. The ground wire was easier to detach but I dropped the screw in the flowerbed trying to reattach it so now that's not connected either. Still, I like the camera. It feels solid and has performed well. I would buy it again.

Great camera for the price
I purchased this camera to replace an older 2MP Hikvision camera. My first impressions of the camera were that the image was clear, and it had better night vision than the last camera did. Setup was easy and it attached to my LTS NVR very easily. I was worried that it might not be compatible with my NVR because it doesnโt run a Hikvision firmware, but so far, I have not had any issues with compatibility. Motion detection works as it should and so far, I have not missed anything important. I have also found that the lens is a slightly wider angle than the Hikvision camera (which is good in my case). The colors really pop on this camera as well. Another neat feature that this camera has is the ability to adjust the motion detection sensitivity for daytime and nighttime. This allows you to be able to reduce sensitivity at night for creatures like spiders and mosquitos, but still have regular sensitivity during the day time. The only downside to this camera that I could find, was that it does not have True 120db WDR, the camera only has digital WDR; however, there are many ways to tweak the exposure, brightness, and contrast settings (see attached picture) to get the image that works best for you. I have been running the camera at the maximum resolution and frame rate (2592x1944 @15fps) and I have not had any issues with storage or anything while using h265+. All that being said, I would definitely recommend this camera if you are looking for a low-cost solution that will provide superior quality. This camera is great for keeping an eye on your home or business. I gave this camera a 5 star rating for 1) the price 2) the quality of the camera 3) the features this camera has.

Great Bank for The Buck
I initially bought one of these cameras to keep watch over the front of my house, and it served its purpose well. I was under the impression that I needed an NVR in order to use the camera, so I bought an Anpviz NVR (it's terrible, by the way, and not necessary). I then bought another one to keep watch over our aviary. My main network switch isn't Power over Ethernet, so I bought a 4-port PoE switch and plugged the camera into it. After a quick nmap scan to find the camera on the network, I logged into it with Firefox, gave it a static IP on my main network, and then was able to view the camera video through the browser interface on any computer on my network. We frequently have at least three computers monitoring the camera at the same time, at it was (just barely) acceptable. The browser video, though, was very slow and choppy, and had no sound, so I thought the camera was pretty awful. But then I tried to view the camera video through VLC's rtsp:// protocol support, and the video was silky smooth, and had sound. Even with multiple computers monitoring at the same time, the experience has been nearly flawless. There is only a slight moment when first connecting when there is a minor stutter, but it passes quickly. Using rtsp means that a browser plugin is not required, and the camera will work with ANY operating system that has a program that speaks rtsp. My house runs on Linux, and I have no problems at all. The video quality is outstanding, the night vision is awesome, and the sound is surprisingly good. I want to test the camera's NFS support, but that will have to wait. Once I know (either way), I'll report back here. In any event, though, that doesn't detract from the camera. I will be surprised if the NFS doesn't work, since the camera itself runs on Linux. UPDATE: I have successfully configured the camera to write to my Debian NFS server, so I can confirm that the camera's NFS support works. I'm giving it a 5-star rating based on the features I was expecting when I bought it. It does not have Pan/Tilt/Zoom, but I knew that when I bought it. As such, I'm not dinging it any stars. So far it delivers on all the promises I've tested. It's a great value camera for what it provides. You can see them in action on youtube @ 'for the love of birds sanctuary and rescue services' under 'live' tab.

Quality camera at an affordable price
I spent the last few weeks looking around for 5mp ip cameras to add to my security system, and bought and tested 5 great quality, medium to high priced cameras. I needed a few more cameras so I was still looking around until I stumbled upon this Anpviz 5mp ip POE camera. This Anpviz 5mp camera is a high quality camera at a low price. The outer casing of the camera is high quality solid metal built, with an IP66 weather rating so it stands up to the extremes of weather conditions and the entire unit is well built and seem to be as well made as the medium to high priced cameras. Set-up was extremely easy, and did not require much effort. The picture quality is excellent and I am impressed with the clarity of both the day and night time picture that this camera produces (Crystal clear picture quality), great audio quality too. The camera also integrates well with my current NVR and functions seamlessly on the Danale app. Truth be told, this camera looks, feels and performs as well as any high priced camera that I have seen and easily rivals the high end cameras in its class, only at a lower price... I am so impressed with the built and performance of this camera that I have ordered the Anpviz 4K 8 Ch NVR system, that comes with 4 - 5mp cameras, and I now plan to change my current NVR security system to the Anpviz 4K 8Ch NVR, with a mixture of Anpviz 5mp and 4K cameras. This is the real deal camera.... high quality at a low price.. I strongly recommend this camera to add to any security system, or to use as stand alone ip camera on the Danale app. You will not regret it.....
