Works perfectly, good quality
Had so many tea balls before all ended up in bin for many reasons, finally found a good quality one works great, doesn't leave any aftertaste and is easy to clean and maintain. It will not open by itself inside your cup and as for tea leaves disposal, just twist the handle over a bin and shake the leaves out, clean and easy, same for grabbing the leaves from jar, no need to touch the leaves with your hands at all. Just use it as a spoon to take as many leaves as you need from the jar and close the ball. Some dust will fall through the holes of course so its not very good for fine grind coffee and its a bit expensive, but i like the design and its well made so i guess its worth the price

Simple but effective design
The shape of this product is perfect. I had one previously which instead of rotating to close, it slid back and forward and left a gap for large chunks of tea to leak into the rest of the cup. This however shuts close very tightly ensuring no chunks of tea get left in the cup when you go to drink it. The holes seem to be optimum size to allow the tea to steep whilst again preventing chunks of tea being left in your cup at the end. The material is good with no signs of wear or rust after 9 months of constant use, and is reasonably easy to clean being stainless steel. Overall a very good product, I would highly reccommend.

Best non-silicone one-cup tea strainer
Overall speaking this is a great product. Much easier to fill then the silicone ones, easier to clean than the traditional push type ball strainer, and the true spherical shape makes more even room for tea leaves to expand. The only reason I'm taking one star a way is that even for a person without arthritis, I find it.....uncomfortable for the upper plastic(ABS?) part so down the rod and close to the turning knob. It's it's just slightly a bit far away from the knob, and add some non-slip dots, it would have made single hand operation much more natural and handy. Though with some practice you will get use to it. It's also worth mentioning that it makes a great tea strainer when you open it 270° for use with clay teaports or any tea ports w/o a filter, especially when you're brewing teas in the oriental style( which uses more tea leaves and less water per brew)

Better than the Scissor-type
These were purchased to replace some "scissor" type infusers that we purchased from a high-street shop. Didn't simply do a replacement, as the other type were prone to falling apart after a couple of months use. These were more expensive, but worked better and haven't dropped to bits yet. They can be a bit harder to clean that the other type, as tealeaves get stuck between the two halves, but they are probably the best of the types available.

Brilliant Tea Ball
Simply the best tea ball I have ever used. It is sturdy, works well and holds quite a bit of tea inside it. I have also found that it is easier and faster to clean up than claw-type and screwed ones (you basically never need to touch the ball with your hands). I don't understand people complaining about it not holding large leave tea, not only large leave tea must be brewed outside of a ball, but it does work fine if you don't cram the leaves inside.

Well designed and made
If you’re conscientiously trying to stop using teabags, this is an excellent product; it’s very well designed and made, and, after several months’ use, I think it’s going to be durable. It’s especially easy to empty and rinse. Frankly, I’m not sure about the present price, but at £8 to £9, I’d buy it again. Hmmm .... well, after about 7 months use, one of the plastic grips became detached from the metal shaft. I’ve attempted a repair using epoxy resin adhesive, which seems to be holding up. But how long it will last remains to be seen.

Love the twisting mechanism
OK for herbal infusions of 'bits' of stuff. Love the twisting mechanism. Very sturdy and well-made. Easily cleaned. Not great for actual loose-leaf tea as the holes are quite big.
