2pcs NRF24L01+PA+LNA RF Module with SMA 1100m + 2pcs NRF24L01 Module with Breakout Adapter On-Board 3.3V Regulator for Arduino

Nrf24 are notoriously hard to configure...I would not recommend this for beginners, these worked a charm - the range is definitely not there, however after finding the right channel, data rate speed, transmission power, and retry settings - they do work. Lots of tinkering to get right.

I have bought two of them, all of them are working well. Asked seller for tech support, and seller got back to me right way with answers.

These units will not transmit with the antenna installed, when the antenna is installed you have to touch it to transmit. The units will only transmit and not recieve. I have tried switching the transmitting and recieveing units with the same results.

Quality control is poor. Out of the 2 I received only one worked. The antenna connection on the 2nd is poor and only works when antenna is pushed forward. Bad solder joint I would expect. However I only needed one out fo the 2 thankfully. Excess PCB was not cut off. And not in a sealed anti static bag. In fact bag was stapled shut...

Other than not receiving part of the product these are high quality but I am unable to use them until I receive breakout adapters.

The pinout is same as NRF24L01+ module without PA+LNA. The adapter is important for Arduino UNO because its +3.3V is weak. For Arduino Due, the modules can be used without adapter (+5V) by connecting VCC to +3.3V directly.

Initially I connected these to 2 Arduino Nano boards, using the breakout adapters: they didn't work. After verifying that they were connected correctly, I removed the adapters and connected the nrf24l01s to the Nanos: they then worked perfectly. So the breakout adapters are worthless.

Like the range specs. Dislikes: After hours of troubleshooting thinking something was wrong with the code, I noticed that one of the antenna break out led is not on. Disassembled and only used the break out to test, see photos, one of the antenna when plugged in will turn off the led, looks like a short somewhere on the antenna circuit.
