Laser engraver + sandblast
I'm using this product in conjunction with my cheap laser engraver and sand blaster. It works best on metal. I paint the liquid mask onto metal, then cut out a design from the mask with my laser engraver and then hit the part with my sandblaster and aluminum oxide blasting media. It does a nice job. I can get good looking results. The mask holds up long enough to get nice, even, frosted looking sand blasted designs. The mask doesn't hold up long enough to do deep relief blasting though. But that's asking alot. The mask then pulls off the surface easily. I know other people do the same thing with smooth, coated wood. I haven't experimented with wood or plastic much yet.

Worked perfectly
Worked as advertised. I had an old wooden door with multiple windows to repaint. Using this product allowed me to use my paint sprayer to make the job much faster with a more professional finish. When done I simply used a box cutter to the edges of the glass and peeled the material right off. Perfect edges w/ no scraping required. I did put 3 coats on quite thickly to be sure it would work. I will go with 2 coats next time and expect to still get the same great results. Highly recommend.

Much easier than tape
It’s a great idea and much easier than taping. I was staining some French door with all those little pains if glass and it was a snap. Only problem we had was that it was pleasant outside initially and the stuff was all nice and rubbery then we had a cold snap and it turned brittle and flaky. Had to scrape it off. Still wasn’t much trouble but best to use in warm weather.

Awful, Just use painters tape
The media could not be loaded. Will never use this again. I have these windows with a LOT of panes. I thought the masking liquid would be quicker and easier than taping every window. Now, yes, application was much quicker but taking this crap off is the most tedious thing I have ever done. I followed the directions exactly. Used a razor to cut around the edge. Problem is, this product is like a stretchy latex, so the razor just kind of skips along and doesn't cut cleanly. So if you can see from the pictures and video, it leaves these little pieces of stretchy glue stuff that won't peel off in a strip. It would have been quicker for me to paint this window with no masking at all and scrape the paint after. Never again. Excuse me while I go pull off a million pieces of latex off my window for the rest of the night.

Don't paint french doors without this!
I seldom write reviews, but I'm such a big fan of this product that I had to.I had to paint both sides of two doors and a clean paint job is very important to me. Each door had 10 glass panes, so I was looking at masking 40 panes of glass across both doors to get the straight lines that I wanted. That sounded beyond tedious with painters tape, so I went looking for alternatives and found this masking liquid.Applying the product was easy. After light sanding of the existing paint, I wiped it down and then applied 2 coats of the masking liquid around the edge of each pane using a cheap paint brush. I tried a single coat as a test, but found that it didn't remove as easily as I had hoped. The second coat of masking liquid completely resolved that. The masking remained on the windows for 2-3 weeks as I worked through primer and multiple coats of paint. When the project was completed, I set about removing the masking and couldn't be more pleased with the end result. The paint lines around the glass are completely straight and the masking removed easily from each pane in one piece. It did leave a slight residue on the glass, but that was removed easily with glass cleaner. In the end, this product saved time, provided great results and was significantly easier to apply than painters tape. Highly recommended!

I wanted to love it so bad!
I had heard so many people rave about this product. We have been remodeling our late 1800s farmhouse for what seems like forever. I am finally doing the interior doors and am now working on 2 which are glass paned.I have been painting everything and my skills are getting super on point. This includes what tools, brushes, sheens, and prep items I need or love or hate. I wanted an easy way to paint this door and not fiddle with the glass panes, so I figured I would give this product a go.It was a breeze to paint on it dried super fast. I was super jazzed about that. I cleaned, prepped, and primed the door and didn't worry too much about the panes, as this was on them. I did my few coats and tonight I began to remove the mask.I was so disappointed. It was tough to remove, was super sticky, and left residue. Now...did it keep the paint off the glass? Absolutely!! But the clean up was tough and it required me using a very sharp utility knife to work through. Sadly, I ended up slicing the wood in a couple spots, which i can hide, but still bummed me out.I think I would use it for less visual items, such as an exterior window or a window on an upper floor, etc. I have to do the other side of the door tomorrow and I am going to use painters tape and just be careful. I know the clean up will be a bit more involved, but I wasn't impressed enough with this product to use it again. All in all, it did what it said it would do, which was keep paint off the glass. But, for me, it wasn't worth the aftercare. If you do use it, I hope it goes better for you.
