it is a fun book.
Author Tom Fletcher has written a text that will delight young children and call for their participation in the story. “Oh, Look! There’s an egg in your book! It looks ready to hatch. Whatever you do, don’t turn the page….” The story is filled with instructions like this and then some catastrophe happens when the reader turns the page. Greg Abbott’s illustrations also call for interaction from the students – showing just what happened when the page is turned against the instructions of the author. There’s a Dragon in Your Book is a Children’s Choice Award finalist. . I purchase the book to add to our library collection so that my students can participate in the voting process. I’m glad I did – it is a fun book. I think it will make a great addition to our picture book collection. Possible area of concern – some audiences might have a problem with dragons. If that is your library, please read the book first before purchasing it.

The Dragon Hunt Continues
My great-grandson was turning three, and his mom let us know that dragons had become his latest obsession. Armed with this valuable intelligence, we set out to find dragon-themed birthday treasures. This book was another successful find. The interactive style makes it especially fun for young children, and the dragon theme immediately put it on the approved list. The illustrations are bright, the story is engaging, and it encourages participation instead of simply being read straight through. When a three-year-old is convinced dragons are the greatest creatures ever, finding a book called There's a Dragon in Your Book feels less like shopping and more like completing a quest. At the time, our family was operating under the assumption that no birthday could contain too many dragons. This book helped support that important mission.

Bought as a 2nd birthday gift and she loves it!
I picked this up for my cousin's 2nd birthday gift because it was so cute and well reviewed, and I love dragons and fantasy. A few days later I got a text from her mother that she loved it so much that she wants to "read" it every night and interact with the story, sometimes multiple times. Absolutely adorable book!

2 year old's favorite
My 2 year old can't get enough of this book. We got it because he also loves "There's an Alien in Your Book." This book is very interactive and fun, and my kid loves to do all the actions. He especially loves "DON'T turn the page..." I got the board books for both, and that was a good idea. Between blowing on it and tickling it and "flapping" it, a paper book would be thoroughly used by now. The board book has held up well. I think I may need to order more from this series.

Excellent, Interactive Books That Keep Children Engaged
Tom Fletcher’s There’s a ___ in My Book series is absolutely brilliant. The books are fun, really interactive, and do an amazing job of keeping children engaged from start to finish. The prompts encourage kids to touch, shake, and talk to the book, which makes reading feel like a game rather than a task. The stories are simple but very engaging, with colourful illustrations and lots of humour that children love. They’re perfect for shared reading and work especially well for bedtime or story time, as little ones stay involved the whole way through. Highly recommend these books — a fantastic addition to any child’s bookshelf.

The best imaginative book for 4 year olds
This is the second book in the series "There's a Monster in your Room" and the second book about the dragon is as good as the first one. Its a powerful imaginative book where the author is encouraging the child to imagine some innovative ideas and you will be surprised to hear their solutions. Loved it thoroughly reading it especially the part where we get to put out the fire. Hard bound book is the best for this instead of the paper back as you will be moving the book a lot.
