Major Problems in the History of American Medicine and Public Health: Documents and Essays (Major Problems in American History Series) 1st Edition

I've never rented from Amazon. This was my first book. It arrived obviously used; some pages were battered and the cover was torn but that was to be expected for the quality rating that was displayed when I rented. The book is generally a great resource for the history of medicine and public health. I've definitely had some eye-opening moments as I've gone through it. I will rent from Amazon again in the future. This was a good experience.

Book Rental arrived in mint condition

The content of this volume is great, but the first 27 pages of this book included major patches where the toner was so light that those parts were unreadable. This was disappointing. I could not return this item because I waited too long to inspect my copy. Make sure you review your copy to see if you have this same problem. I'd have to purchase another copy just to see the missing parts. It's a huge inconvenience.

needed for college

the copy i received new was poorly printed, the ink was a lighter gray version of the others i had compared it to in class. This was very difficult to read due to the light print.

It does not hold up well. It is a decent sized textbook but the material really does not make for college life.

Basis for my class

I wish the eBooks had better ways of marking the page numbers!
