FabLifeFabLife 86-0360 Shoehorn, Metal, 24"

I chose this extended shoe horn because of all the positive reviews and I was hopeful this was the right shoe horn for me. Unfortunately for me it had two design flaws. The handle is not attached to the shoe horn itself, and will come off when you retract the shoe horn. I injected silicone between the handle and the shoe horn itself, and that kept the handle from coming off. This shoe horn is made of thin gauge steel and will bend if your not careful stepping into your shoes. Once it bent I was able to straighten it, but now it bends at the same spot almost every time I use it. If it were just a little heaver gauge material it may not have bent, and I would have given it 5 stars for the design and how well it works.

As I have posted previously, I had back/spinal surgery (i'm 42). Having to have your wife or partner help get shoes on is a serious pain. So I bought slip on casual leather shoes, and this 2 foot long shoe horn. Its sturdy, smooth and works great. Not having to bend over and force your foot into the back of a shoe, thus ruining it, is awesome. It does take a little coordination and practice to get used to, but I am glad I bought it.

Expected the end to be wider. Instead it was the same width all the way. Caused a cut on my heel

It was nearly bent and almost broken about 3 inches from the bottom.

Best long shoehorn I've found. I've broken a couple of long plastic shoehorns that were near the same price. This metal one is so much better and more reliable!
