American Atelier 20-Piece Baroque Dinnerware Set, White

Purchased this 20 piece set as an addition to 2 sets I already had in this pattern. A few pieces got chipped and I needed to have extras. I get compliments every time I entertain and use these dishes. They are fragile but beautiful and make for a nice dinner table.

I love the way these look. they are not very durable. the bowls are stunning, but hard to eat anything with a spoon due to the ridges. it took me 1 month to receive them, they were on back order for a long time, but said in stock when i bought them. Even knowing about the negatives I would buy them again.

It took my about 6 months to find dishes that were in my budget that I liked. When I found these (through the Horchow website), I was super excited. I loved the deep bowls, and the shape of the salad plates.I purchased these dishes in September, 8 place settings. I was so excited to open the box, they designs on the dishes were a little less detailed than the deisgns in the pictures, but I didn't mind so much. Then, about 2 weeks later I ordered several more boxes and the finishing on the new dishes were more detailed. Though they are technically the same, the colors are different, the imprints on the new dishes are very structured, which opposes the imprints on the older set, which looked like the pottery was wet when they sunk in the designs.n the last 9 months, nearly every piece has chipped (very frustrating). At first I thought that it was my husband being rough when unloading them from the dishwasher, until I noticed that I was chipping them also. The glaze over these dishes is cracking at the bottom of many of the bowls, and so far, one plate. And as for the claim of microwavable... that is a complete joke. These plates get so hot, that you cannot pick them up, while the food on the plate remains cold (...again VERY FRUSTURATING!!!).Anyway, I hate to say it because they are so pretty, but these dishes are just no good. :'(

BEAUTIFUL plates! I fell in love with these plates. I have had Corelle dinnerware as "every day" dishes... they lasted 20 years. Out with the OLD Corelle and in with these NEW American Atelier plates! They looked so perfect for me! I quietly ignored the "stars" and poor reviews and happily hit ORDER and learned a valuable lesson the HARD WAY. I am so disappointed and sad over the quality. I have had the plates since Christmas (December 2017) ... EVERYONE of the PLATES is chipped. The tiniest little bump FLAKES a chip off the plates. Even if I hand wash the plates I FIND plate chips in the bottom of my sink not every time but, usually. I would like to RETURN the plates...all of them. However, they are a stone ware plate and I was aware they would probably chip easier than a Corelle plate but, this is unacceptable. I feel like I am even careful and they still chip. This is worse than being careful of fine china! I have been unable to return these plates! **** Please let me return these!

This is my 3rd set of these dishes. I bought two and wished I had a third. The first two were a little fragile and there was some cracking/chipping but they are so gorgeous that I went ahead and ordered a third set and I couldn't be happier. This set is identical in design but sturdier. Absolutely love them. If you're thinking about it, just do it!

I was very excited about this dinnerware because the design is beautiful. After having it a few years, I noticed a smell inside my cabinets that smelled like mold. A few other pieces I use over and over again and get cleaned in the dishwasher regularly. When I have family here and use most of the pieces - my 6 year old granddaughter said the bowls had black specks on them. To my dismay - I realized that the specks were mold. The ceramic had not been glazed properly and the wet bare ceramic was moldy. Purely a health hazard and I am very disappointed.

I ordered two sets First delivery I heard UPS drop the box on my front porch so much was shattered I did not bother opening it. I got another shipment a day later to replace these. Then three bowls were broken. I asked for replacement bowls they said sure no problem and sent an entire new set instead for my trouble.. which I am glad they did because I bowl was broken in that set. This set is very fragile it is the way it is but I love it!!
